@franfraschilla: Just watched CoachKO_UConn and the Huskies practice. Love the energy and enthusiasm. Backcourt an obvious strength and GW's Kromah will help

How are last year's injured looking? Giff, Omar, Bazz.

Seth Greenberg of ESPN was at practice today also. I expect they'll do some kind of write up about UConn in the next couple days. The advantages of ESPN being in CT.

Hooper....you don't really want to turn this into a "advantages of having ESPN nearby" thread, do you??? ;)

Again we will have arguably the best backcourt in the nation. I hope Daniels becomes the monster he can. If the bigs can just rebound, block shots, and finish dunks well be good to go

I'm looking forward to the Pizza and Practice Party for the Cancer Walk Boneyard Team
I've gone the last 3 years and have written a recap every year.

@franfraschilla: Was really impressed with @CoachKO_UConn and Huskies at practice today. Excellent energy & enthusiasm. Players were really engaged with KO!

@franfraschilla: UConn has an outstanding backcourt led by Napier/Boatwright and GW transfer, Lason Kromah, will really help. Development of 1 "big" is huge.

Someone asked if UConn is a final four sleep, this is what he said:
@franfraschilla: Don't think so but if one big man plays solidly, they could be dangerous.

Fraschilla says Calhoun compares Terrence Samuel to Taliek Brown. I'll take it!

franfraschilla
Samuel will be solid. Calhoun compared him to Taliek Brown.RT @tcf_15: @franfraschilla How did the freshmen look? Any of the three standout?

Someone asked about Calhoun:
@franfraschilla: He's a "power wing" who could handle better. Kromah gives them versatility.

About high hopes for Nolan:
@franfraschilla: If he rebounds!

He also said Samuel will be solid.

Thanks 3, nice to see some good news the past few days. The dry season is almost over! Hope the kids stay healthy.

Te last couple of days have been nothing but great news.

Wonder if Brimah practiced, or held out ?

The loss of Wolf cost us a possible chip. He was the missing piece and ultimately Uconn will pay for the harsh penalty bestowed upon him after he went through a reasonable and fair punishment/rehabilitation phase. Losing ten games to a suspension to any athlete is severe and in this case justified and warranted. Wolf's actions after the punishment showed contrition and maturity of someone who honestly wanted to make ammends for a mistake in judgement. Uconn's decision to up the bar on what was fair and reasonable punishment will be this years downfall.

Give it a rest already, we're a month away from the season, let it go. I thought your last thread about "Wolfe" was going to be it?

He is a potential possible future wife beater. We won't if he has been rehabbed until he dies and proves he has changed his previous ways. Not everyone receives a free education and the opportunity to showcase your talents. For this there needs be a bar. How low do you go? In the words of Jim Calhoun, he screwed up. Time to move on and replace his 4 fouls, 4 points and 4 rebounds with someone else. That said I did Like his shot from 10 feet.
