LOL! I was actually thinking of that, but more UConn telling the Catholic 7, we will vote to dissolve just bring us and Cincy along to your conference until we can leave for the B1G/ACC without any exit fees.

This is such a dumb rumor. If UConn is in the ACC, they would have no Big East vote, and if they are not in the ACC, they would not vote to dissolve the league their in based on a promise.

ESPN is a ruthless business entity. This could be a good business move for ESPN. ESPN wants BE basketball sans the newcomers. If BE split up, ESPN can just go after the new Catholic league and leave the NBE FB schools to other media outlet. There might be smoke to this. However, ACC is no safe landing spot so I really hope UCONN does not end up there.

There is literally nothing to this. Best way to look at Mhver3 is as a figure of unintentional satire.

Can't imagine WM playing this card. I hope he is, but this goes well beyond monitoring which is his MO.

It makes quite a bit of sense, actually. It's a win for everyone. No exit fees if the league dissolves. Not one of the craziest rumors, anyway.

Yes, ideally UConn to B1G is the goal, but the ACC life raft is less sunk than the NNNNBE's.

It doesn't make any sense because the BE will dissolve anyways. Good luck getting anyone to pay an exit fee at this point.

If UConn actually did that, do you realize the size of the lawsuit that UConn would be hit with, and lose? Good God.

Blaudschon debunked the "dissolve the Big East" rumor when he pointed out that the basketball schools can leave any time they want without penalty.

If I make up something and post it on the internet, it's not a rumor. It's just something made up. Rumors usually start because there is a figment of truth to them.

It's just incredible that people are so gullible and naive that they think The Dude and Mhver3 actually have real insight.

How funny would it be if this is true? UConn, Cinci and the Catholics leaving the Big East as the group of schools nobody wanted to add in the first place. It'd be like when you were a kid and had a secret club with your friends, and then your Mom makes you let your little brother join so everyone quits and starts a new club.

Will it? It's been shot, stabbed, blown up, and set on fire, but the damn thing won't die. We are it's silent assassin. We can end it once and for all. It means the ACC gets Notre Dame a year earlier and Louisville also comes sooner, and cheaper for them.

MHver3 is completely full of it, but that doesn't mean this idea wouldn't work.

If he was proposing it as an idea, then he could be onto something. But he increases his "follower count" if he states it as something that is actually happening.

What's funny is how defensive he and his disciples get when you call him out. I have this vision of a bunch rednecks with iPhones tweeting away in their Realtree Hunting Camo Clothing with Confederate Flag Trucker caps.

I was almost going to end my post with "It's the No Homers Club, we can have one"
