And Loyola lost. Boo.

As for tonight, we have:

Florida at South Carolina
Detroit at Milwaukee
Maryland (home) against Virginia Tech
BC (home) against Florida State

It's a safe bet those teams go 2-2. Slight potential for 3-1.

When it comes to our RPI, I will sacrifice it a little to see BCU lose again and again and again.;)

Slight for 4-0 IMO. Detroit and BC are small dogs (both are currently +2) and Florida and Maryland should win easily.

2-2 yesterday, so it was a wash.

Today:
Indiana hosts Nebraska
BU plays Lafayette in the Patriot League Tournament Quarterfinals
Stanford hosts Colorado

BU should win. The other two are tossups with bubble implications. Nebraska is on the wrong side of the bubble, and IU is trying to get on the bubble. Stanford and Colorado are in Jerry Palm's bracket, but as lower seeds (8 and 10 respectively). A loss could push one near the very edge of the bubble.

Very good shot at the 3-0 sweep today to go along with a win over Rutgers

Well, our RPI is down to 29.

Nebraska beat Indiana
Boston U beat Lafayette
Stanford lost at home to Colorado.

And given that we played a sub-200 team, we had a bad RPI night.

Tonight, there is

UCLA at Washington
Idaho State at Eastern Washington

Decent shot for a split...chance for an 0-2. Our OOC teams (minus Florida) have been coming up small.

Hopefully we split, last night was rough. Stanford really struggles against teams with legitimate low post threats.

The teams that manage to schedule several Boston Us as opposed to Maine or Eastern Washington always get a huge (but lame) RPI bump. At the end of the day, what does it mean?

What else is new.
Well, to be sure, Stanford is much better than we thought they were back in December. And Harvard continues to be right on the cusp of a Top 50 win (they dropped down to 53). So those have been better. Also, BU is an RPI Top 100 win. So there have been some bright spots.

Washington, BC, Indiana, and Maryland, though have all terribly underperformed.

Yes, the 3 you cited have been solid -- I think we were expecting Harvard and Stanford to be around #50, and BU sneaking into the top 100 is a pleasant surprise.

Those 4 major-conference foes, though, have been woeful. Indiana in particular has been disappointing, and while we knew BC would be bad, I don't think we expected them to be in the lower half of all of D-I basketball.
