Maryland @ Clemson
Stanford @ Arizona
New Hampshire @ Maine
Ohio State @ Indiana

Obviously, I think Arizona is going to win that game. The other three, though, do represent good shots for wins, and thus a further boost to our RPI.

Also, good news: Houston climbed into the RPI Top 150. Still a terrible, terrible loss, but no longer a sub-150 one.

They have 2 remaining games: USF and @UCF. If they win those, they'll end up 17-14 (9-9). As the 6 seed, they'll draw the 3 seed.

Aaron Craft is easily the most overrated College bball player I've seen in my life. I almost feel badly for him, it's not his fault he's the great white hype. The media anointed him a superstar when in reality he is mediocre at best.

He is the Big10 all time leader in steals. Besides that, totally agree.

IU is a minute and a half away from beating overrated Ohio State and will provide a little more boost to our RPI, even though they've had a very disappointing season. They seem to have more talent than their record dictates. If I was an IU fan, I'd be very disappointed in my program this season.

Add to that, Maine won. johnhuskies95 is wrong on both accounts. I bet he wishes he had that post back. :)
Eh, that was my fault. I said "New Hampshire did their job" initially. I meant Maine, and it suggested that New Hampshire won.

Indiana won. Besides the RPI we can move up big in the rankings this week with UK dropping 2 games, OSU dropping 2 games (they should fall out of the top 25) plus a few other schools in the bottom 18 lost. We could move up above 20

Andrew originally said that "New Hampshire did their job" before he edited his post. But yes, I was wrong about us playing New Hampshire.

He had about 3 turnovers in a row after Ross fouled out that were just unforgivable.

He's the type of kid who we would love coming off our bench, but kill if he was our starter.

besides Sheehee it is mostly young talent, all their other best players are freshmen and sophomores. After losing Oladipo, Zeller, Watford, and that white PG who's name escapes me at the moment off of last year's team you're asking an awful lot for them to have another great season while surviving in the B10.

In a not so-stunning move UK moves up to 12 in the AP poll this week due to the potential of the rosters athletic ability in the NBA next year. The fact that they lose and have a slimeball coach mean nothing compared to their verticals and 40 times.

Given that #24 Texas lost, and that #22 OSU lost twice to two unranked teams, and that #21 Memphis lost to Houston, and that #20 Iowa lost to two unranked teams, and that#18 Michigan State lost at home to Illinois (in addition to being on a 2 game losing streak), and that #17 Kentucky lost to two unranked teams (one under .500)...

I think it's safe to say we'll be back in, and back in near around #20.

Forgot about Kentucky's 2nd loss.... It's all good. I just want to beat the crap out of L'ville !!! If we do that, everything else will take care of itself.

Indiana and Stanford are playing themselves into the tourney.

If they get in, UConn will actually have logged at least 12 games (and perhaps 13 if BU wins its tourney) against tourney competition (Florida, Harvard, Indy, Stanford, 8 AAC).

Honestly, Indiana really isn't. They beat a reeling Iowa and a reeling Indiana. They're in bad shape, tournament wise, and have an uphill battle to even get bubble-worthy. They need to beat Nebraska and Michigan (both tough games) and go on a mini-run in the B1G tournament to be near the bubble. They have a weak RPI, a terrible non-conference SOS, and a losing record in the league. They're toast.

But, Stanford, regardless of tonight, is in much better position. They have a Top 50 RPI, a solid non-conference SOS, and solidly placed in their conference. I think they're in right now.

While I understand your frustration, I have two words for you:

Steve Wohjahowski

Wait, I meant Greg Paulus

Aaron Craft does not even approach those two given the Duke hype machine....

You're right about Wojo, he got tons of respect from the media and he sucked. Paulus, if I remember correctly everyone figured out he sucked his freshman year.

Duhon, too, so it isn't just the pale faces in Durham - although at least he had an NBA career. But he was a first-team A-A with like 10 ppg and 5 apg, who everyone fawned over for leadership and intangibles, etc., when he was rather pedestrian.

At one point he had a hustle play or something, and I think it was Verne Lundquist on the call who gushed "wow, what a player! What a man!!!!" That was the point where Duke hype jumped the shark.

Last I remember Wojo, he'd slap the floor and Wayne Turner would go right by him. Last I remember of Paulus, he tried to draw a charge against VCU with a flop that got put to a laugh track on YouTube.
