It has been a season longt heme. Bazz gambles off his man and his man hits a 3. Enough is enough. It is clear to me it is more than just a poor habit it is now embedded in the opponent's game plan.

Agreed. Horrible habit. Overall I thought Bazz played well though.

Giffey was awful against the three. He lost his man for five minutes. And you complain about Bazz?

Already called Tyler to task on his -/+ score ratio when he is in the game. I also fired Blaney as head coach - give me a few minutes and I will say more.

The success Big East opponents have had against UC have little to do with Giffey - some games he hardly plays......it is squarely on Bazz and yes less so on others.

Because Giffey is sacrosanct on this board. We wouldn't have any problems on our team, according to some posters, if we just always played Giffey.

Or, better yet, had a team of 5 Giffeys we could always play.

Giffey was good his first time in the game but had a very poor period when he threw up that 3 and had some defensive breakdown. I still like him out there over Tyler.

Ofcourse you can pick apart Bazz's game, but IMO he played a good game and has been very good the past couple games.... Without Bazz we'd be cozying up next to Pitt in the standings. Again IMO he's our heart, and has been playing like it as of late.

Chief, I think you may need to relax on this one, because you will be posting this the next 2 years. That's just how he plays defense (gambling), JC can't change it and Bazz won't change it. Sometimes it works and many times it doesn't. He's a gambler and as long as he's not going to Foxwood's. he will always play this way. I love it when he gambles and wins, but hate it when he loses, and worse when he looks at the shooter draining a 3. He's still my favorite player on the team though.

I agree. There are many games (including this one) that could've been won if he just stayed with his man. Having said that, he is playing team ball. He is willing to defer his shot and play his role. I can't fault him for that.

I am a big Giffey supporter but he hurt us on defense as well.

Everyone hurts us on defense.....the worst team defense I can think of in a long time, maybe forever really..........the guards all gamble which is huge trouble because they don't have an Emeka or Thabeet back there but instead a bunch of guys who know little about help defense.........I mean defense and rebounding killed this team tonite, killed'em

What was frustrating is that the D wasn't bad for a while. PC was at 41 points at the 10 minute mark in the second half. Then all hell broke loose.
