I am really enjoying the change of pace with this crew - they are doing a good job of 'reporting' the game - fouls, who is in who is out, etc. They are homers of course, but they are also bringing in a lot of relevant info - loved that they knew when Tiff passed Jen for career points for example and also knew who Jen was. They also appreciate good plays on each side.

+1 They've been low-key and very good.

So low key they sounded bored, IMO.
To each his own. I'm so tired of announcers acting like THEY are the main event that I thought this twosome was okay. They basically just called the game.

.-.
Syracuse has one of the better schools of communication in the country, and has turned out more than a handful of the better sportscasters and sports journalists out there.

And those two weren't part of it.

I was okay with them until the end, when the color commentator committed a couple of blunders. I forget the second one, but her biggie was calling Mater Dei "Mayter Day." Sheesh.

Interviews after the game were some of the worst ever.
The announcer was a combo of cliches and lack of preparation.
It was embarrassing.

Didn't stick around for the interview - and I didn't mind the mistakes - I just enjoyed two people focused on the game with a minimum of digressions.

Call of game was pretty accurate, but low key. They were not raising their blood pressure, though.
Interviews at the end were a little amateurish.

Yeah, I described that as oddly detached in one thread.

I think they did a good job. They knew much more about Uconn than most announcers and they had a lot of stats at their fingertips.
