I feel like everytime we call timeout at the end of the half or game, we get a terrible shot. But when we don't, we seem to get open threes. Some coaches don't call timeout in those situations. Maybe KO should start doing the same?

Not saying we are running dumb sets, but they always seem to break down and we get a terrible shot off.

Boat had as good a look for 3 on the last possession as he did when he had just hit a 3 on the previous possession, for some reason he didn't shoot it. looked like he was shook.

Most execution was fine except the last minute.

Execution after time outs was awful.
Most of Ollie's play calls outta timeouts are good, but he could use work drawing up plays down the stretch. That's not an unusual weakness for a second-year coach, though.

Not having Daniels tonight was a killer. When you rely on dribble penetration from your guards as much as UConn does, it makes your offense predictable ... and much easier to defend when the other team KNOWS you have to make a 3-pointer.

Having DeAndre - who could hit from mid-range and take bigger defenders off the bounce - helps keep defenses slightly more honest. His absence was noticeable on offense down the stretch.

also, that shot by Bazz where he settled for a 25ft 3 was obviously not a play call. you could see KO getting on his case about not driving to the basket, which is like the 3rd time that has happened in an end of game situation, Stanford, Houston, and tonight. Bazz is so good at drawing fouls, when you're shooting like the way he was tonight you gotta go to the basket and try to draw contact and hopefully finish thru it or get to the line.

That last play was just awful
Boat was wide open, watch it again, he got a case of lemon booty and froze up on the play. you could see Hobbs on the bench doing a shooting motion because Boat didn't pull the trigger.

It was tough for Bazz tonight because Cincy could design their whole defense around stopping him. They knew nobody was a threat scoring midrange and in because of Daniels absence. With that being said Shabazz's shot selection was horrible tonight. He forced a lot of bad off balance deep threes instead of trying to penetrate and kick. It happens to the best of them, just hate that he played so poorly in an ESPN game.

We were playing #7 at their home, our star had a subpar game, another starter didn't play and we hung in there for 90% of the game- I can live with that
Losing again to SMU or anyone besides Louisville will be a real downer

We didn't play poorly, we didn't play smart at times. We missed 4 fast break layups and left at least 5 point at the free throw line- cant do that away at #7

We scored pretty much every point, which weren't many, off a play out of timeout the 10 minutes. Boat should have shot it but really we need to live or die with Bazz more often than not, even when he's not having his best game.
