The worst officiated game in WCBB I've ever seen is the OKLA vs UCONN game at the HCC in Dec. 2001. UCONN was #1 and OKLA was #3 and at the end of the game UCONN won but there were 52 fouls called, 30 in the 1st 1/2! #'s 1 & 3 can't be THAT BAD!
I watched the 2nd and 3rd worst officiated games I've ever seen in ORE ST vs AZ ST earlier this week & SoCar vs KY last night.
If a touch on your opponent is considered a foul 80' from the basket how can players running into each other near the basket and hacking your opponents arms not be a foul on someone? Refs were standing within 5' and no calls were made!
I stopped counting after 19 moving screens occurred with no calls!
Surprisingly no one was killed in the ORE ST vs AZ ST game, if people were attacked outside the arena as they were inside the arena they would have been arrested for assault! Even the announcers, one was Mary Murphy, commented on "the refs letting a lot of stuff go!"
Hopefully the incompetent refs will not take over the UCONN @ SoCar game Monday night and turn it into a farce! Two great teams should not have their competition turned into a swallow refs whistles or a whistle every 10 seconds!
There are no good refs in WBB and the "left" coast is worse if that can be possible.

Unless you see Kentucky play in person you can't realize that the game they play is more like roller derby than basketball.

We saw them when UConn played them in consecutive years in the NCAA tournament. UConn won 83-53 in 2013 and 80-65 in 2012.

You guys would have hated the Big East. It was like WWE every night.

Must've been something in the atmosphere last night affecting the referees. The ND-NC State game was an exercise in tediousness, with calls being made on seemingly every transition in the second quarter. And it was not confined to touch fouls, the transaction of traveling seemed to be in vogue for both sides. Not that I'm against rules being called, but it seemed the refs went to a seminar and started unleashing the reminders on the game. Whew...long night.

The refs were trying to help Kentucky, the announcers were trying to help SC, and the two teams both needed help trying to play a game with which they seemed unfamiliar. Gamecocks can't score a point for 8 minutes? What were they doing all that time? This is tough stuff to watch. Hit the Mute, then the Off button.

She'll be fine. I actually went to high school with Tiffany at Providence Day in Charlotte. She's a good kid, tough kid. Hope to see her healthy for Monday.

The UConn men played last night and the refs would call at least one and sometimes three (!) fouls on UConn each Memphis possession. There was a graphic at one point where UConn was 6-8 from the FT line and Memphis was like 10-22. Memphis would have shot a tom more FTs if they'd hit the first shot of their one and ones. Ticky-tack foul city, baybeeee!
