There is nothing for the NCAA to deny. The NCAA gives you 4 years of eligibility, she has only used 3. The NCAA gives you a 5 year window to use those 4 years of eligibility. That 5 year window for her does not expire until August 2021. If she is healthy this fall ('20) all she has to do is suit up. I'm hoping that is the case, because she is a terrific player.

Ok, the idea that she has to petition the NCAA is what made me think that it isn't a given...

She spent 2 years at Hutchinson Community College in Kansas, but didn't play. Then she transferred to Syracuse. That's why she needs to petition for a sixth year.

The postponement of the Olympics will also work in her favour ... "To think now I get another opportunity for the Olympics and to play in an NCAA tournament, it's amazing," she said. "My dad called me first and said 'hey, you might still be able to play'," she recalled of the day in March that Tokyo's Games were delayed by 12 months.

Most importantly

"It will be emotional, but I don't feel the added pressure, I'll just go and play and not worry because I'm learning to just enjoy life instead of stressing."

It's always great to hear news of a positive nature. Our prayers are with her and I hope she is able to play that final season this year.
 
If she plays she will have some good, tall talent to feed the ball to, probably more talent than the team had last season. I really hope she plays. She is really good and fun to watch.
 
I saw something today in the geek news that a study found that exercise, both before and after treatment, led to significantly better outcomes in breast cancer patients. T immediately popped into my head.
