You will be in the Boneyard's thoughts and prayers, Tiana.

"Just over a month ago, I found a lump on my left breast so I went to the health center and got it checked out. Throughout the following weeks, things have progressed quickly. I've undergone various tests and got a biopsy on Friday, June 14.

On Tuesday, June 18, I got the results back and it was a day I will never forget.

On this day, I was diagnosed with Stage 2 breast cancer (Grade 3 Invasive Ductal Carcinoma). As of right now I am starting chemotherapy on Friday and will have to undergo surgery after treatment."

Have not only admired her skillsets on the basketball court, but the very obvious tenacity and heart that helps achieve and propel them.
I very much expect and hope those will help Tiana as she undergoes treatment. All the best....keep the faith.

I’ve had my fair share of women in my family that has dealt with Breast Cancer. It’s an ugly disease! But watching Tiana on the basketball court assures me that she’s a fighter and she’s going to beat the monster that is cancer!! Hold your head high Tiana your a warrior! We’re praying for you and we love you!!!

Best wishes and positive vibes to Ms Mangakahia. She’s so much fun to watch, and a fierce competitor.

Thoughts and prayers for complete and total recovery and cure.

Wow this is shocking. I hope the treatment goes well and she has the best possible outcome.

I've been a huge fan of Tiana's from the first time I saw her play almost two years ago. She plays with all kinds of heart and grit, and she is a spectacular assist machine.

I'm struggling to remember another time I've ever heard of a college-age person with breast cancer. Pretty shocking, and a valuable reminder not to take a single day for granted.

"Mangakahia’s plan right now is to sit out this season but be on campus, taking classes, being around her teammates at practices and games and then be ready to rejoin them for the ’20-’21 season."

Thanks for posting. Continued thoughts and prayers for Tiana as she undergoes her treatment.
