Indiana at Michigan State, currently at halftime with Indiana up by 2.

Neither team is top 25, but it's a crucial game between two Big Ten bubble teams. Both teams need to win a bunch of games down the stretch if they're gonna get back into the tournament.

SC rolling 42-21. Figured they'd come out fierce after the loss.

NC State has recovered from a rough first quarter, pulling even at the half and now opening up a 9-point lead late in the 3rd.

I just saw that Hines-Allen is not playing tonight. Not sure what her injury is.

NC State should have finished that game in regulation.

State :oops::oops::oops::oops:

Really horrible execution down the stretch, and the whistles have greatly favored Louisville. Durr finally hit a bunch of free throws to tie the game.

I have started contributing on the Louisville board and I must confess.... every time I have tried to watch one of their games this year they have lost. I might be a jinx... better stay away from that board for a while. :eek: Anywho... congrats NC State!!!!! Parity and so on and so forth...

That was actually bad for Duke......... NC State will be favored to win the rest of their games... and they hold the head to head tiebreaker over Duke. Currently its a 4 way tie for 3rd place in the ACC.

I am failing to see why the SEC should get two 1 seeds. ACC appears to be a much deeper league. IF FSU or ND wins out or comes close I would think one of them deserves a 1.

NC State was extremely fortunate to play Louisville sans Hines-Allen. As it was, both of their post players fouled out.

It's simply baffling that NC State has now beaten each of the top 4 teams in the ACC — 2 of them on the road. Yet they have losses to Syracuse, UNC, and Miami. SMH

Seedings are not allocated on a per-conference basis. Each team's resume is judged on its own merits.

Even without Hines-Allen.... Louisville is much more talented than State. The Cards still probably have 5-6 McDonalds all-americans without Allen. State has zero on their entire roster.

Well Syracuse is tied with Duke, Louisville, and State in the standings at 7-3. Miami is one game behind. In my opinion, the Tulane loss was much much much worse and unexpected than the loss to UNC. Made worse that they had a double digit lead going into the 4th quarter. They lost the same way to Syracuse and LSU. I cant recall the flow to the Miami game.... i do know they botched that game down the stretch.

Agreed that Louisville has way more talent than NC State. It's striking to me that Jeff Walz has gone from overachieving with what talent he had back in the days of the old Big East, to underachieving now that he's attracting tons of blue-chippers.

Not sure on what basis you say the Tulane loss was "much much much worse and [more] unexpected" than the UNC loss. Tulane is #34/51/67 in RPI/Massey/Sagarin, compared to UNC's #73/65/63. Especially when you consider that UNC led them by double digits for most of the game and Tulane barely beat them.

Ok... maybe i added a few too many much's :oops: .... but it was (at least to me) more unexpected than their UNC loss.

Anyway...... if you are a #2 seed in the NCAA's.... im not sure you want your #7 seed in your bracket to be NC State.
