Thursday 2/23 games

Wash 52 colo 37 2 minutes left in 3rd

Plum is not having a great shooting night. She has @16 points

Osohar already with a double double, 22-17.

UW starting to run away w/ it. Romeo is a barometer for them, when she starts dropping some 3's they're really tough to beat. Up 59-39 after 3 Q. Plum now w/ 18, 5-11 FG on a "bad" night for her. 0-4 behind the arc though. Osahor w/ 22 pts. and 17 rebounds. I think a lot of people are not appreciating Osahor's rebounding prowess, it's pretty amazing.

I love her. Maybe only a handful are still up to appreciate her.

When someone earlier questioned Osahor's strength, I almost popped an eyeball. Did you see when the Colorado player bounced off her like a cue ball off the railing? And I swear her hands are like high-powered suction cups. Time and again she comes down with boards in traffic among players who can jump higher than her.

The other part people don't talk about enough is her passing. She's like a combination of Courtney Paris's rebounding and Stefanie Dolson's passing ability.

UW wins 79-46. Plum and Osahor got an early exit. Plum finished w/ 25 pts. 6 assists 5 reb. 0-5 from 3 pt. range but 8-10 inside the arc and 9-11 from the FT line. Osahor w/ 24 pts. 20 rebs. 5 assists.

I did. Did you see how many players bounced off of Plum tonight? She's a mighty mite.

But to the point, anyone discounting Osahor as a player either hasn't watched her play or is seriously lacking in ability to evaluate players.

That leaves Plum 53 points shy of the scoring record. Still likely to happen in the 1st game of the Pac-12 tournament, but maybe not until the 2nd game.

I'm thinking I need to attend that game to see history being made. Hopefully she'll light up Utah for 35 or so on Saturday to make it more reachable in the first tourney game.

Washington is a good team and depending on where seeded will be a hard out in the NCAA. They clipped #2 Maryland last year and Kentucky at Kentucky.

Are you close to Seattle? I would love to make the long field trip up the coast.

Yeah I'm just north of Seattle, right on the edge of King County. Been to a few of the UW games this year (Boise St., UCLA and Stanford) and I'm going to Senior Night on Saturday.

Haven't been to any of the Pac 12 Tourney games at Key Arena, should've done it before but gotta do it this year.

Pretty much a no-brainer given the history that's about to be made there. I suppose there's a remote possibility Plum could be denied if she averages less than 27 points in her next two games and UW gets upset in the quarterfinals. Right now it looks like they're most likely to play either Oregon or ASU, so not an easy out.

Plum has three games, minimum left. Saturday v Utah, one game in Pac 12 Tournament and one game in NCAA Tournament. She needs 18 ppg average to go past Stiles. Her lowest point total this season is 22.

Final: NCState defeats UNC 80-60. Dominique Wilson scored 19 points, Ashley Williams contributed 18 on six THREEs. Wolfpack improves to 21-7, 11-4 ACC...while UNC falls to 14-14, 3-12 ACC. Wolfpack closes out the regular season Sunday at Virginia.

Yall must have called off the wolves.. Cause yall were on pace for 100. At least yall saved some of the UNC carcass for the blue devils to feast on this Sunday :D
