If we hit 1 more free throw in OT would you still say this ?I hate to say it but Geno has been consistently outcoached by McGraw.

the big problem with your statement is that they had them beaten in first OT, but failed miserably at the stripe. They were up 6 with BS at the line for free throws. CLANK . Nd scores. BS at line again CLANK. ND scores again. Faris at the line CLANK. ND scores again tied up. 2nd OT samo samo. Just can't close out games with a killer instinct. ND grabbed the lead in OT 3 and never looked back. How come?
Why? Because this isn't girl scouts where everyone is a winner. No one is saying they don't "love" the players or respect how hard they work. People are pointing out the lack of mental toughness and sloppy play that helped cause the loss.I have to admit the quoted post is very hard hitting in its description of where and by what means defeat was snatched from the jaws of victory. I wonder, though, what real purpose is served by reminding us just how victory was allowed to slip away? In particular, I wonder what good can come from naming players who missed FTs. And not merely mentioning it, but calling it by the term CLANK. That hurts.
Why not just say key free throws were missed by usually good free throw shooters?
We all agree we want the team to win the next mine, right?
Yes because in should have been won in regulation. If we hit 1 more free throw in OT would you still say this ?
