I could care less how Geno runs his team, BUT just don't keep up the noise about lack of depth and please, please, please, don't ever use the injury excuse. If there is an injury to a key player and he lacks the depth to fill in those voids, he only has himself to blame?

We talk about the "great developer" and "great ball movement" and the greats just go on and on. There is a method to the madness and that method is to focus ALL attention on the top 7 or 8 players, while the rest stand on the side lines and rally.

Now, it does build chemistry amongst those few and with chemistry comes good ball movement and trust among that group, so I will give credit there. However, as a player, if you think you might end up as a back up coming off the bench, I'd be careful selecting to play there. JusSayin! High fiving can be fatiguing.

But like I said, that method is risky, because it comes at the expense of having depth and also at the expense of ladies working their rear ends off in practice and not reaping the rewards of doing so.

There..I feel a Tiny bit better now.

Whew- for a moment DD had been whisked away to the region of the country with a far less robust primary, secondary, and post-secondary education system...

To address the concern seriously, even though that wasn't the intention, Geno runs practices far more strenuous and competitive than last night's contest with UNC. He is extremely picky about who he recruits, and he is extremely picky about the product he sees on the court during games. If he doesn't think you can play to a standard, he's not going to recruit you, and, once you've arrived on campus, if he doesn't think you'll play to the expected standard based on what you do in practice, you're going to be watching the game from a courtside seat with him instead of playing. If you have the stuff he's looking for, you come to Storrs, and you buy in, you'll play. It really is that simple.

DD,

UCant mean it... this malformed thoughtbomb with its weak minded logic will lead to a record number of losses, unless of course, UCheat.

I've been an avid reader your posts for many years and until this most recent post, your posts offered the very the uh, what's that word I'm looking for... ah yes...pinnacle of WCBB wisdom. They've represented the again, where are my words... height of logic and the why am I having such trouble with this... apex of insight. Your pregame analysis for many of us the now, what's that word... peak of game day reading and your game-time commentary for those lucky enough to read your posts instead of watching the thing live, are the hmmmmm... zenith in play by play analysis, while your postgame run through is the word, WORD!!!! oh yeah... acme of WCBB play by play decomposition. Your posts have often been the one two... buckle my shoe... that's it...... capstone of a thread. So, what'sup with this messy nadir of a Tinymind's attempt to construct the simpliest of logic strings????? It's as if someone is either limited or missed their BP meds????

Get a grip, man!!!

Your Ol' Pal Boo

Now what was that word I was looking for??????

Doggy, what's happened to you? Has your already tiny little brain shrunk to the size of a pea? Does this meandering mess have anything at all to do with the UNC game? With the season generally? With anything in the real world?

It's almost as though you're looking so hard for something negative to say about UConn that you don't care whether it bears any relation to anything, including reality.

This post must violate some board rule against out of bounds stupidity. But, oh well, Biff's taken ownership of the thread, and he's to blame if this mind-rot is contagious, andmakes blatheroutin cornuckle breezin bulkytwaddle greshootin. Yonderspit, and out.

Nah. They are always talking about UConn there, almost always in hallucinatory fashion and of course negative. It's as though they actually play us.
