In no particular order -

  • Dolson winning the tip
  • UConn's first basket
  • Seeing the freshmen
  • Seeing Stewarts first jaw dropping move (probably a block into the 4th row)
  • Seeing Jefferson breaking a few ankles
  • The first 3 point streak by KLM (6-7 would do)
  • Hartley going to the basket, absorbing a hit and finishing for an "and one".
  • Doty spotting for a 3, and making it. Love that smile.
  • The big to big passes from Dolson to Stewart and visa versa.
  • Banks making her opponent crazy with her intensity on defense.
  • Seeing Tuck defend in the post against bigger players.
  • Buck getting regular minutes every game, not just in mop up time.
  • A block party with Stokes, Stewart, Buck and Dolson sending many shots back at the shooter.
  • Duke, Stanford, Texas A&M, Maryland, Penn State, and of course Baylor in OOC games.
  • Tennessee's first loss (yes, I am that petty)
  • Watching Diggins change her headband 4-5 times trying to keep ND within 30 of UConn.
  • The first Geno Show
  • Going to a game...any game. (got tix?)
 
Seeing Kaleena score 8 points in 1 minute.

Waiting for Morgan to "do something" and then realizing that she has a very quiet 12 and 6.

Watching MoJeff run by everyone and then throw a lob pass to Breanna.

Watching Kelly stop the other team's offense cold.

Seeing how much all returning players have improved.

Watching Bria channel her inner Diana.
 
Speaking of The Geno Show is SNY going to continue the broadcast of that?
 
Seeing which player has the best "player intro" dance moves. Oh, wait. I am not going to First Night. Maybe it will be on YouTube?
 
Hanging out at the Frenchman's Reef pool with the team before games in the Virgin Islands (OK, maybe just with Boneyarders).
Having Geno ask me if I'm available to complete a foursome for golf.
Thinking of Bob Picozzi watching games on SNY, with a play-by-play guy actually doing play-by-play.
Seeing Carolyn Doty light it up from 3 as she did in her first season.
Watching Rosemary Ragle on the bench with nothing to do.

Watching an opposing ballhandler on a quality team get called for an offensive foul, either for pushing off or charging, with Brianna Banks guarding her.

As do I, as of course it means UConn's girls are whole. But really, I'm down with Rosie in any state of being. She's cute as the Dickens.

Now for a few things I can wait for:

-People complaining at how weak an opponent CoC is when right now, I'd kill for that game to be on.
-Threads about attendance
-Theads about EDD (not her fault- just a polarizing topic that takes an inevitable set of twists and turns)
-Compaining about the benches at Gampel
-Complaining about SNY
-Complaining about complaining- yep, I'm ironic and meta at the same time...
-If God forbid we lose a game, the inevitable "was Geno outcoached?" topic
-ETT's thread about how Baylor is recruiting the #68 player on AGSR
-Nan banning me for yanking her chain again regarding speculation about UNC's recruiting practices. ;)
-Having to decide whether to watch the A&M game on mute because their fans are goobers...or because Carolyn Peck is somehow involved with the broadcast
-The next time Geno says something flippant or blunt and the 100+-post thread that ensues
-Snow...just in general
-Having to say toodles to Kelly, Caroline, and Heather.
-The periodic pissing match that pops up between MBB and WBB fans
-Villanova- even right now, I wouldn't kill for that game to be on
-The inexplicably tight game that is broadcast on CBS Sports Net

I heard there will be a Geno show, but I havent seen anything official yet.

One of Stef's famous / infamous bone-jarring screens where the defender goes straight down to the floor, not moving one inch forward !

The inevitable "Kelly shouldn't be starting" thread when she leads the league in steals, assists, rebounds and blocks. (OK, that might be an exaggeration. But unless she starts averaging 16 points a game, some yahoo will start in on the whole "She shouldn't be starting" thing.)

We have already had frequent "Caroline shouldn't start" threads, occasional "Kiah should start" posts, and even a guy who wouldn't start Bria (and I wonder where he went:rolleyes: ). As sure as the sun (the Big One, not the Mohegan version) rises in the east, the first time Kaleena misses a few there will be an onslaught of posts to remind us that Geno was smarter last season when he brought her off the bench.
