Free throws almost cost them this game. Did cost them the Creighton game. Practice makes perfect. Start shootin fellas. Nice Win but hit your free throws.
Obvious but I wonder what Hurley has planned for this? We won a National Championship with a team that did that so well with Bazz. Who coaches that?Free throws almost cost them this game. Indeed. Gotta ice 'em at the line if you wanna win 'em down the stretch.Free throws almost cost them this game. Did cost them the Creighton game. Practice makes perfect. Start shootin fellas. Nice Win but hit your free throws.
Steve Nash drill was used in 2014 season to improve FT%.. Worked pretty good.. Repetition and muscle memory emphasizing form and pre-shot routine..Obvious but I wonder what Hurley has planned for this? We won a National Championship with a team that did that so well with Bazz. Who coaches that?
News flash: 1-2 from the line ain’t good. This cost us once and is gonna cost us again if it isn’t fixed. Quick.Interesting stat in the box. 5 guys shot 50% from the line for that game. Only Cole was over at 66%.
LOL you just reminded me of the game against Kentucky when Calipari did not foul our guards at the end of the game in an obvious foul situation. When asked by the media why he didn't he said because "those guys don't miss". It's another way to dishearten an opponent. "Free throws win games"Obvious but I wonder what Hurley has planned for this? We won a National Championship with a team that did that so well with Bazz. Who coaches that?
He shot 65% on 122 attempts at URI, he's 60% so far at UConn. Wouldn't expect any massive improvement at the free throw lineI've been surprised at Tyrese's poor FT shooting so far, but I don't think it is an issue of mechanics or ability. Based on the missed bunnies and FTs it looks like a mental thing. He has good mechanics and shoots well- no reason that won't translate to FTs in the long run. Once it does, watch out, because his style of play should get him to the line a lot
Notice the off-hand lay-ups!Maybe the women's team could give them FT shooting lessons.
When has FT shooting ever been "fixed, quick" besides never? I'm not worried about it. Perhaps they could bring back the Glenn Miller FT drills?News flash: 1-2 from the line ain’t good. This cost us once and is gonna cost us again if it isn’t fixed. Quick.
Dude, you have a complex.Maybe the women's team could give them FT shooting lessons.
Well said. I’m pretty that 2014 team missed like a half dozen FTs all tournamentMaking free throws aren't usually the way to win a game (unless you shoot 90% as a team through the tournament) but missing free throws is the quickest way to lose a game.
I remember that and was amazed he would say it out loud. I mean, maybe UConn would have a bad night at the line? Maybe the pressure of the final four would make them nervous? Would have been furious if I was a Kentucky fan. He waved the white flag when they still had a small chance.LOL you just reminded me of the game against Kentucky when Calipari did not foul our guards at the end of the game in an obvious foul situation.
