There will be lots of UConn WBB this summer.

Despair not, Husky fans. Our favorite UConn players (past and present) will be playing a lot of basketball on big stages this summer. Six of "our girls" will be major players in the London Olympics.

And numerous current players will be in action with USA Basketball U-17 and U-18 teams in international competitions. Keeping up with all of this action should provide a great bridge to the 2012-13 season for our current, and very exciting, UConn team.

And, the WNBA season will start in June -- featuring 10-12 former Huskies.

It will be a great summer to be a UConn fan.

Just a note, but the WNBA season starts officially in just a few weeks (Friday May 18). Preseason games begin next Saturday, May 5.
