The Undefeated: Hail Colorado!

The Bangharts of Upper Carolingia brutalized the undermannedwomaned Syracuse Oranges (a slightly less puke-inducing hue than that worn by the Vile Couch Jumper brigade) this afternoon, 79-43, thus remaining unvanquished.
Impressive win. Cuse isn’t terrible.

SC really takes advantage of the fact boxing out is just not really part of the game anymore. They do it on their defensive end and take advantage of other teams neglect to create a huge disparity in offensive rebounds. They have size, no question, but they play very smart close to the basket on both ends.

When you blow a game like that against the superior opponent rarely does it turn out well for you in the end. And OT's not going well for the Tigers.

This 0.1 second time out stuff is silly but Aaliyah better at those chippee's

you rarely see something like this in womens college basketball. An unranked team taking down the census number one team. It shows that the parity in this sport is coming.
I didn’t realize the Census Bureau rated teams. Does the Bureau of Labor Statistics rank them too?
:)

Wow. Mizzou without their best player knocks off South Carolina. Kudos to that staff and team for not giving up and giving their all. South Carolina will be fine. This says more about the grit of Mizzou.

I swear that Robin Pingeton just knows the formula to beating a Dawn Staley coached team. With the exception of UConn, I don't think there is any team that frustrates South Carolina as much as Mizzou. Our lackluster offense finally came and bit us in the butt. Ugh, this one sucks more than any other loss and seeing Sophie Cunningham in the stands was salt on the wound. One of the few players that I strongly dislike in any sport!

But, I know we'll live to see another day. This game will not define our season...

Mizzou attacked the paint hard. Some of those baseline drives. Very impressive

I’m not a sore loser. Congrats to Missouri. They didn’t have the horses on paper and still found a way to get it done.

I was not among those hoping SC would lose a game to alleviate the pressure (and if I was, I certainly wouldn’t have chosen the SEC opener), but losses make Dawn’s teams so much better. The issues that often surfaced in losses last year (poor shot selection, namely the guards taking too many, and bad ones at that) were on clear display tonight. I expect Dawn to reset the offense a bit to play through Aliyah and V more.

It does create a bit of an uphill climb in conference, but that’s why we play the games. Nicely done, Missouri. Hope to see you in the SEC tourney!
