It was selective in the case of the Harvard student and the other who were bagged for this very reason last Spring.

The problem seems to be more with the British system than with Facey's age. Parents down south and even richer parents up north keep their kids back so that they have an advantage in school. Those same kids that start a yer late are then allowed to have a kid do post-grad. And this is more common in football. Yes, some football players graduate at the age of 24. And then there are the Chris Weinke's of the world.


A large percentage of D-1 college hockey players are 20 or even 21 when they enter as freshman. Most are not doing PG years but continuing to play junior hockey after graduation and enrolling a year or two later. It's strange that the rules and intent vary so much from sport to sport under the NCAA umbrella.

I don't know whether I'm mad at you or thankful. On one hand, whatever mojo God's you were able to get through to clearly rewarded us in a big way. On the other hand, you for not starting a "The two sides of the APR ban" thread at this time last season.
