just heard Goodman say Hawkins could play some minutes at the 3 due to all the other frontcourt transfers they brought in, yea that ain't gonna work
Here's Kansas State's current roster of 6'9+ players:
  • Coleman Hawkins 6’11 225 5th from Illinois, 12p, 6r, 3a, 1.5s, 1.1b, 37 3P%,
  • Ygonna Onyenso 7’0 247 JR from Kentucky, 4p, 5r, 2.8b, 19 mpg
  • Baye Fall 6’10 205 SO from Arkansas, former #31, 5 mpg
  • Achor Achor 6’9 222 5th from Samford, 16p, 6r, 2b, 43 3P%, 71 FT%
  • David N’Guessan 6’9 220 5th year returnee, 8p, 7r, 28 mpg
I mean, I can't imagine all five of those guys will stay on the roster next season. If I remember correctly, Achor was the first frontcourt transfer to commit to Kansas State and he's a damn good player...I see him leaving and ending up somewhere where he can start.

N'Guessan maybe David seeks greener pastures.

these agents love slipping those numbers in whether it's even true or not. Hawkins couldn't get more than a 2-way guarantee so he made out well here financially for his last season

$2 million, huh?

Honestly he'd probably defend 3s better than 5s. He had no chance against Clingan.

I haven't watched a game from last season yet, but I'm starting to get the itch. This will be the first one.

St Johns has themselves a roster now. Definitely looking like a tournament level team, but it'll all depend on how quickly the new faces get used to each other
I agree. Aside from Deivon Smith (13p, 6r, 7a, 41 3P% at Utah) at PG and the five-spot rotation of Zuby Ejiofor (11 mpg last season, former top-50 recruit of Kansas) and Vincent Iwuchukwu (16 mpg last season at USC, former top-25 recruit), everyone else in their rotation can play multiple positions.

Right now, St. John's looks ten deep. Aaron Scott (11p, 6r, 2a, 1s, 1.3b, 37 3P% at North Texas) is one of my favorite Big East additions on the portal as a 6'7 200 combo forward who can literally defend any position and contributes across the board.

Ya gotta figure it was going to take Pitino a couple of years to really get it going. I think St. Johns finds themselves back in serious conversation and will be for Pitino's tenure. Again, it's all good for the BIG EAST.

Domask killed us!

Who can we bring in to stop the savvy vets? I’m concerned.
One very overlooked part of that game was the halftime adjustment putting Karaban on Damask. He was too big for any of Spencer/Newton/Diarra (who guarded him in the first half where he ate us up) but once he was shut down, Illinois had nothing left.
