The Top 3 Things You Want To See Against SC | The Boneyard

The Top 3 Things You Want To See Against SC

1) Dawn sitting on the bench with an incredulous look and chewing out her guards after Paige's 8th 3pter

2) Liv showing enough diversity inside and outside and playing Boston to a draw

3) No Husky looking like scared puppies

.-.
1. A healthy and productive Aubrey Griffin [10+ points]
2. ONO and AE not getting into Foul Trouble
3. Paige going off for 25 points 10 assists, and 7 rebounds

1) ONO competing against Boston
2) CW driving toward the basket with purpose
3) A win

I think we only need one thing that we haven't already seen happening. Liv needs to put her big girl pants on and play like a UConn husky in a big game. Add that to what everyone else is showing, UConn wins.

We must put pressure on the guards and not settle for jump shots and hope for flus on Cooke Beal and Henderson.

Liv must be able to hit some open shots against Boston to pull her out and we can play some high low.

CWill must be aggressive and score at least 15 points for us and grab at least 5 rebounds.

DEFENSE..like last game
Keep the ball moving..CW not standing dribbling outside the arc
Block out and try to compete for rebounds

1. 50-40-90 game from the team.
2. Losing the battle of the boards by less that 4.
3. Limiting SC's dribble penetration.

1. GOOD DEFENSE

2. Paige hitting the OPEN man

3. Liv getting "rough+tough"

Uconn wins by more points than the super bowl winner does.....Paige gets 20 by half-time...Dee Kanter calls a technical on Dawn because her glasses are too big..
I hope that Dee Kanter isn't one of the three officials. She always seems to favor the other team when comes to fouls.

  1. A win
  2. A win
  3. A win
In a big game like this, there is no need for moral victories, or any specific "thing to see" IMHO, except a win. It makes no difference if it's by 1 point or by 100. Avenge last year's loss, see what they learned since their Arkansas loss, and come away feeling good about what they did against a really good team.

  • just win baby
  • two double- doubles: Nika (pts & asst) and Liv (pts & Reb)
  • Paige over 30 for a third straight game

Same offense, better defense. A victory.

1-- The offense clicks with Paige still showing she can't be stopped.
2-- The interior defense competes well.
3-- UCONN scores 80 or above and wins.

I was only going to predict 6 3s from Paige, but I like your estimate better.

1. 50-40-90 game from the team.
2. Losing the battle of the boards by less that 4.
3. Limiting SC's dribble penetration.
UConn won the battle of the boards last year 40 - 38, but lost by 18 points.

I hope to see UConn score twice as many 3s as SC, most by fearless freshmen.

Based on advice from others, I hope to see at least 8 Paige 3s
Crushing defense by Liya/Liv, Nika/Paige, & the hand grenades Mir & Aubrey.

1 ONO plays like the center we need her to be. Good offense and defense with minimal fouls.
2 Good movement on offense.
3 Good communication on defense

Unfortunately, this game I have to wear Gamecocks gear. I loss a bet to my sister last year. All I want to see this game is a WIN :).

1. Liv on the high post, AE down low and CW, Nika, Paige in a layup line all night!
2. See # one and that has Boston in foul trouble rather than our bigs. ;)
3. Over all continued progress in a very trying season.
3) No Husky looking like scared puppies
eebmg: No attack but when have you ever seen a UConn player look like a scared puppy? Just wondering and having followed the team for decades this would be something new to me. Freshmen be damned, the puppies will be out in force with those teeth sharp as needles. :D

Again, no personal attack but seriously? If Olivia was not giving her all she would not be in the game. Geno does not pamper anyone and rules with a very heavy hand. She may not be Tina Charles or Swin Cash yet but giving her all.
She has what you call her big girl pants on every game and plays like a Husky every game. Just my opinion.
I have criticized her for putting the ball on the floor in the past but that is also an effort of trying to do more with the given talent. So bad on me to.
I still believe she is a flower that will blossom, and still damn good before doing so. :)
