I heard the sound loud and clear on the SNY broadcast yesterday. It was HORRENDOUS! It sounded awful on the TV and my dog gave a sad howl because it was so bad. My wife made me mute the TV at one point.

End the suffering
 
"Welcome to the Jungle" got people on their feet and making noise. Isn't that what we're going for. Why has it run it's course? It was effective. I know it's done elsewhere, but at for a program as starved for traditions as ours, I thought that was a good 3rd down tradition to have.
 
I don't know how much a petition will get us, but if we all add our names to an email (some season ticket holders as well) threatening attendance because of the "noise" then it might get changed...

Because I've heard it for 11 years.It's RUN IT"S COURSE .There are thousands of songs out there.Pick one.

welcome to the jungle works. it just reaks of 'things that were cool 20 years ago'...
how about a graphic on the screen that says 'RISE UP! Make some Noise!!!'... and then give a level meter that registers the fans getting louder, even if they're not. something original like that would be cool.
 
Would love to have our band lead some 3rd down noise. How's about a band version of "a little bit louder now" portion of the song Shout?

I for one have e-mailed Warde on this amateur hour embarrassment. I would like to see a good old college protest at our next game. Everyone get the word out to stand and cover your ears when or if it comes on. Do continue making noise for our boys though. He will get the point and see there is more than just a few upset with this.
For those that want to see the band whip something up.

The one plus to a social media petition like Change is the easy on-line presence across many platforms (email, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc...).

The easy answer is to graft a legit husky howl onto the front of the opening of "Crazy Train" It would satisfy both the trads and the reformers.

FWIW the execution the "unintelligible noise" they've gone with is truly bad. It's as if they had Jonathan XIII get all worked up while someone recorded it on their phone or walked into a kennel and did the same thing.
 
Keep the red eyes, can the growling and replace with your favorite rock song...Welcome to the Jungle, Beginning of Hells Bells etc.
 
My thought is to replace the growl with a video of a singular howling husky, then have a pack form all HOWLING. That would be a call to arms for Husky nation, keeping the Husky theme while encouraging the crowd to start howling along. I think it would be unique and fun for the fans and the team. Other that that, I'd vote for the band to get involved.

The p.a. System is inaudible. You cannot hear what the announcer is saying, it echoes horribly, and the Rita's ice thing? Cannot hear it. Same with subway. The growl is pathetic, I concur. We are small time and going backward, and it is year 3 of tix renewal.......
 
As a couple of posters mentioned above, take the intro to Hells Bells and overlay an optimally timed, optimally tuned, wolf-like, husky howl.
 
I will be the minority in I like the growl but think we need to add to it, Maybe growl then Welcome to the jungle or Hells Bells??/
 
Mix some dog growling with Welcome To The Jungle or some other pump up song..
 
When anything is so loud you have to cover your ears it kind of defeats the purpose of you wanting to add to the noise. To much loud mistimed canned nonsense overall. I'd take the opening of Iron Man as one option but there are so many decent one we could alternate or do a montage starting with Deep Purple's Wolf Howling on "Hush". I know I' m dated but what we have isn't working and overwhelming the crowd isn't the answer. Short and sweet.

It has to be replaced if for no other reason than it is not something the crowd can work with. It's got to be a song with a heavy bass sound. Most of AC/DC's catalog will work. We Will Rock You. Kasmir (love the beat in this one). It's menacing sounding. Dio's Holy Diver (after the initial soft lead in). Alice in Chains Man in the Box. Whatever the choice, it must sound mean.

I just called myself. Karen sent me to Mike and he picked up the phone.

I explained that the sound is not working - fans covering their ears. State cop asked my 'what the hell is that?' Mike took the time to explain to me Coach wanted to try something new and agreed it is not working as expected. He explained it is being 'RETOOLED '.

He thanked me for my support and I suggested bring back GnR and that I was also appreciative of him actually picking up the phone as opposed to having me sent to VM.


Lets see what it sounds like Saturday.

E-mail reply from Warde today, he is hearing the noise about the noise and is addressing the situation, pun intended. I doubt we hear it ever again.
Like yourself it was nice to get a thank you and know it was from the top. This unlike the Hathaway regime which ignored fans. No clue where his bread was buttered, but he did get the last laugh for sure.
Then again every dog has their day....

This athletic deparment played that sound for two games. So to give them credit for stopping... well that is insanity.
