The refs today

Anyone else prefer the old style reffing we saw today. There like 3 minutes left in the 1st and Tulsa had 0 fouls and I was fine with it. Let the kids play.

They kept mentioning old BE style play. I kinda miss that........

The refs were great - they let the kids play while they were just in the background. A poorly officiated game is when the refs are trying to steal the show. That happens too often.

the best game officiating that I have seen in a long time. More of this would be great, let's hope it keeps up in Memphis

Both teams treated equally and a couple bad calls each way but overall would prefer them to work the game like that. Nice flow thanks to them.

I believe it was Tim Welsh who said "well there goes the "freedom of movement" I liked the officiating.

@upstater

Here is a good one for you

Wow....that could be one of the worst calls I’ve ever seen. I’d love to have seen how the ref described that one at the scorers table. Also, anyone catch how excited the ref was to make that call? He darted in blowing his whistle so hard his cheeks were puffed out. Clearly one of “those” officials.

The officials still let the other team in the bonus quite often vs us .... I believe every game opponents were in the bonus by the 10 min mark, definitely in the first half a lot .. most of that be refs calling bs moving screens we get about 6 of those a game.. they need to really discuss what a moving screen is

It's obvious Karl Hess did not work that game

First game when I haven't been shaking my head constantly over the officiating - and that's not only UConn games!
I was pleased at the pace allowed to play.
