He should have told them in the locker room he was heading to MD to interview. He didn't....move on.

I wish I could be part of the UConn fan internet message board in-crowd so I could unnecessarily and arrogantly mock a poster for sharing a piece of news he thought was interesting and beneficial to the typical UConn fan.

I read this board daily to get info on the team/new recruits and rarely if ever post, but some posters paint a picture of themselves as 50 year old, overweight, starter jacket-wearing know-it-all's playing World-of-Warcraft on their extended desktop. It is highly amusing.

Randy Edsall was guilty of a lot of things (for instance, putting the "offensive" into offensive football) but get over bashing him for not saying a proper good bye to his players. Circumstances obviously dictate that he proceed exactly the way he did and these players aren't Pop Warner, they're men. Deal with. Same thing with the fans, they should have more more upset about the fact that Uconn was the only team (win or lose) on that New Year's Day that didn't score a single offensive TD. They should have been furious with that dumb , slow developing play that RE called on fourth and goal when the game is still a game.

I respect Edsall for what he did while at UConn but thought it was time for him and UConn to move on. That said, the whole "not flying home with the team" is blown way out of proportion. I believe most of the team went home with family and those that had immediate NFL aspirations reported to their workout sites.

The way he left was horrible, but the term, "Dream Job," is a shot at Hathaway, who actually had MD as his dream job, but wanted too much money and they took another option.
