Would the ACC ever give BC the "Temple" treatment or do they just not care?

Place your bets.....

Who wins a respective conference game first, and which opponent goes down?

Two best chances for BC are 2/21 @ WF and 2/23 VT. I'm going with the VT game.

From a certain perspective it's sad. They were a worthy opponent for a long time in basketball and potential one in football.

A worthy opponent in basketball?

Wasn't there a stretch of ~14 years where we played them at least twice each year yet they couldn't win one game?

You have to admit though there were some classic games in that stretch....now it's just embarrassing...RU may be able to beat BC

All kidding aside who would swap places with BC right now? Would you rather be a national embarrassment/laughingstock in the ACC and keep cashing checks or would you rather be right where we are in the American?

Honestly being in the American keeps the pressure to win and be competitive. I would much rather see a competitive team on the field or court than just cashing a check...because at some point you still need the fan base to provide ticket revenue, and IMHO BC may be at that tipping point if they can't get it straightened out.

BC has a really tough nut to crack as far as rebuilding a fan base. The old BC fan base, the people who were from Greater Boston and populated the Catholic parishes are slowly going away and aren't being replaced . 25 years ago I'd wager every city and town in eastern Mass and Rhode Island had BC alums and students. As the student body became more diverse and more national those connections just don't exist any more. So they have to not only win but win big to get any space. If they don't they are just another Harvard or Tufts. Add in the fact that there are no real traditional rivalries other than an equally bad Syracuse and you really have problems. If you are going to spend 1 weekend day tailgating and going to a game and you have no real connection to BC what are you picking BC NCSTAte or Pats-well anybody?

7-0 run in the second half for the Beagles. It's the entire season highlight video.

Down 16 with 12 minutes. A bit of drama if they can cover 26.5.

The BC UNC game is being played like the second half of a Monmouth/Kentucky NCAA game. A very expensive ticket to an intramural game.

Rutgers is a 29.5 point dog today @Michigan State. Chief could put together a better team.

Threat of a cover is in the air. That's a proud RU squad, it's tough to hold them down.

Sportscenter showed something yesterday morning that I really enjoyed.

They showed an RU player hand the ball to a ref after the freethrow shooter missed the front end of a one-and-one. Then they showed their QB clocking the ball on 4th down on a drive late in a game. Rutty being Rutty.

BC and Rutgers’ woeful tale
http://ajerseyguy.com/?p=13208

This sums it up perfectly:

"The latest casualty at Rutgers was football coach Kyle Flood. In a typical Rutgers fashion, school officials, knowing they were going to fire Flood, allowed him to make a recruiting trip across the Hudson River to Long Island using the school helicopter.

When Flood returned later that day, he was told he had been fired.

Sadly, but not amazingly, when the incident was revealed, all that anyone had to say was, “It’s Rutgers” and everyone understood."

Or they could catch a team that feels sold out by their coach and university.

I'm sure no matter what it will be exciting. Someone has to lose!

I think BC should throw the rest of their games. Has anybody ever gone winless in consecutive football and hoops seasons? They should just go for it!

Even if they are sleeping during the game Louisville will still handle BC.
