hip hip nowayI teach a leadership course. One of the main ways to get buy in from people is to include them in the process. Three cheers for this idea!

Not to worry,UConn isn't gonna hire a top coach.Top coaches are not touchy feely guys.
No attack but you must have missed a few. I would and will pray Joe McFadden stays with the new staff. Flash backs of what Dave Teggart did for the program with the potential of possibly even more. There’s not a single player on this team that isn’t replaceable.

He’s been great so far. No doubt about that. The line you quoted was partially hyperbole on my part which I explained later in the post.No attack but you must have missed a few. No hire is bringing in 3 and beyond star players to New England and that includes BC. For any new coach to get off to a decent start we need a good amount of roster retention. Randy dropped the ball but he did not leave the cupboard of Bobbie and Paul.![]()
Listening to went right or wrong with Edsall is one thing, dictating a hire is another. This may sound revolutionary, but it is not. One way or another the players will have a vote on UConn's hire. Either ratifying it by staying, grudgingly accepting it by staying ... for now, or heading to the portal ASAP.
The better alternative is to give them representation on the search committee. I would suggest the Captains.
Your comments?
No one is suggesting that. Having a vote on a committee is not dictating.Listening to went right or wrong with Edsall is one thing, dictating a hire is another.
Yup, and what I am saying is that if UConn doesn't want to experience the Ross Perot proverbial rushing sound to the portal or the reconsideration tweet (on the part of next year's commits), the better option would be to give them another way to vote. The players have a voice called the portal. If you’re not onboard, the train is leaving with or without you. We want players that are all in giving everything they have as a matter of pride and character, not a bunch of beauty contestant judges.

According to the 247 Composite, which takes into account their own proprietary rankings along with Rivals and ESPN, Boston College currently has (19) 3* and(2) 4* commits. Not saying it's easy, but a good recruiter like Hafley can bring 3* Players to New England. Get a young offensive minded coach that can connect to kids in 2021.No attack but you must have missed a few. I would and will pray Joe McFadden stays with the new staff. Flash backs of what Dave Teggart did for the program with the potential of possibly even more.
