Who else scoffed and laughed to themselves when hyperthink INSISTENTLY said Kromah would start over Omar Calhoun?

In all seriousness, Lasan Kromah has been a revelation for this team. At the start of the year we didn't know what we had in him. Now, I can't imagine this team without him. It all starts defensively... he's long and disruptive with a nose for the ball. Overall, he's experienced, crafty, and gives this team a calming leadership presence. He's a great passer with a tremendous BBIQ. I can't remember the last guard we had who was as effective at slashing to the rim as he is. He uses his length extremely well and glides around defenders to the basket. As a bonus, he was not advertised to be a good shooter, but he's been hitting his jumpers and from 3-pt range efficiently as well.

Huge credit to Hobbs for bringing this kid in.

And, of course, credit hyperthink as well for calling his emergence before any of us knew anything about Lasan's game.

I gave hyper some flack, for sure...I'll be the first one to say he was dead on. In fact, he may have undersold Lasan. Huge, huge piece.

*clears throat* I'm starting to think Calhoun should have redshirted. Gonna be hard to get his confidence back. Especially with the new guys coming in. Question, what do you guys think about kromah's nba potential?

The NBA seems like a stretch because his jumper isn't consistent enough and he's not a freak athlete. The thing is he is capable of guarding 2 or 3 positions and I think he could do that at that level as well. I don't see a NBA future but he could make a lot of money playing in Europe if he chooses to pursue that. He's absolutely huge for us this year and really can't imagine not having him.

He'll make more money than the majority of us and will do so by playing basketball. Just awesome.

I think Kromah deserves a shot in the NBA...I hope he can be brought in as a free agent and get an opportunity. If he gets a more consistent 3-pt shot he could fit in as a Thabo Sefolosha type player

I'm not eating crow, I'm eating "Kro". Kro-mah that is. I thought he'd be good, but didn't think that he would be a starter and our defensive stopper. Hyperthink, this Kro tastes good. Hope I can get me some next year. We're going to miss him and I'm bummed that I only get to watch him for one year as a Husky. Ca-Cah!!!!!!!!!

I'll eat Kro when he gets his PPG average up to 15.

(Obviously, though, he's been absolutely terrific.)
Atthe end of the day i was wrong about that but we all know he's more than capable. and i believe his ability to defend the 1,2,and 3
will give him a shot in the nba.

You just lost me hyper…….love his college game and he's been a blessing. But it ends there……he will make some cash abroad I believe but his skill set has no shot in the NBA……having said that, love him as a Husky and his run is not over!

well i look at comparable nba players such as a garret temple who plays for the wizards thats a good defender but was not as good offensively as kromah. A lot of pros that people thought would never make it. And alot of great college players that never made the pros.Bruce bowen made a career on being a good defensive player. So its not impossible bro.

Kevin Ollie made a career in the NBA with less talent than Kromah. I think Kromah found the best coach from whom to learn a path into the NBA. Actually, Lasan looks to me like a 6'6" NBA point guard and there is great demand for tall point guards in the NBA. Don't think he could make the NBA at any other position. But he does have some point guard skills.

Brian Cardinal had a ten year NBA career by making plays like Kromah did against Memphis. There isn't a coach in the world who doesn't have a soft spot for a guy who gives 110%.

Brian Cardinal was 6'10 or 11……..Lasan is 6'4 and you know how many 6'4 guys there are out there with amazing athletic ability and are not playing in the NBA? I love Kromah, hard made his way in to the hearts of Husky fans in 25 games like few others. But honestly he's not an NBA player, I hope he proves me wrong so I can have some of that pic on the first post…….but I won't be I'm sorry. KO is almost the same size, could guard pro PG's and handled the ball as well as the team when he came in that's how he made it…….I see the comparison because LK has some of that "coach on the floor" to him. But this is college…….hope he makes some dough for sure but it won't be in the NBA……..

Pretty sure he's 6'5. Anyway neither one of us really know for sure. But I think he can play in the league. Surprised you don't think he has a shot....

I called Giff to start over Calhoun. Was very critical of Kromah joining. Ate my words right up. Kid brings another level of energy to the court.
