besides Boatright none of them even played 40 in any of the games. There are stoppages all over the place.

Brimah for christ sakes has sat most of the tournament.

They couldn't shoot or start off games good before the 4 games in 4 days. It's been a problem all year.

That may be the case, but the simple fact is that this team just is not good, especially offensively. They just have to somehow hang in and find five good minutes to steal it.

Wish RB would stop throwing his hands up like he's been shot on every possession. Yes, the refs suck. But they have all year, haven't they? How about picking yourself up by the laces and putting the ball through the hoop more than twice in 13 minutes (and technically those 2 times were Rodney)?

Our bigs being in trouble hurts and it's changed how we're playing on defense. But if we can't score, dies it even matter?

We have no one to play inside-outside with and this team, when not making shots, is like candy to Larry Brown. He's not even paying attention to the rollers from the pick because they can't score. It's painful but it is who they are. And if the refs are going to let Kennedy extend his arms and use his forearm all day to get position then we're screwed. And our big guy is just plain dumb.

Nolan and the inside better stop letting kennedy bully him around, we better wake the hell up
As Kennedy was abusing him I was wondering what the weight difference was. Phil supposedly only giving up 7 pounds. If anyone believes that I got a bridge to sell them. Love to see the real weight difference between those 2.

Honestly, while its been a fun few days we have to be realistic...this team has been too up and down and flawed all SEASON. We've seen glimpses here and there of a good team, but more often than not we have seen games like this. Hell, the fact that we even need to win this game in this dumpster fire of a conference just shows you how flawed this team has been all year.

I hate to say it, but honestly...do we even deserve a bid??
Yup, we're as good as some of the trash that will play.

No matter what happens in this 2nd half, I cannot believe the small margin of error this coaching staff has allowed for this team. They are putting everything on Boatright to bail them out.

There are no answers from the sidelines to break these scoring droughts. None.

Can't have answers from the sidelines if there are none on the court can you?

Pride doesn't make a team that isn't good good. The team has pride. It's just not a good team.

Because there aren't any players. You can't ever let Nolan or Brimah touch the ball, Purvis is up and down, and Hamilton looks like he has hit some sort of a wall. Who does that leave, Calhoun? Samuel is useless, so what can Ollie do other than go out and recruit better players?

Yes, you can. Unless you think Yale is really more talented than us. Everyone passing the ball around the three point line until someone hoists a contested three isn't an offense.

They can't think anyone isn't ready for the shooter running to the corner.

Well he certainly needs to recruit better that's for sure.

Speed the game up! The team plays better when they don't think.

We are not a particularly good team but too many things going wrong on the court. Coaching needs to eliminate more of it and stop digging huge holes! You should have heard this crowd. To waste it by playing that poorly!?

Nonsense. UConn has been lucky recently to have a few guys that could create shots on their own, or create shots for others. When the players can't do that, it's up to the coaches to get the players to execute an offense that moves the ball, moves the defense, and creates open looks.

What do you mean by nonsense? When you look at this team do you see more than a couple of guys that you can count on? The team is not very talented. It consists of one great player, one freshman who could be special and then a bunch of kids that may or may not develop into something. That's just the truth of it right now.

What I mean is that you seem to imply coaching doesn't have an impact. It does. SMU is a better team with a huge advantage in the paint. That explains what is happening when we're on defense. It's no excuse for what is happening when we're on offense and in control of the ball. We are an incredibly easy team to defend.

Oh coaching makes an impact, but it isn't the be all, end all that some think. Put Napier and Daniels on this team and they are conference champs and none of us are bringing coaching up one way or the other. Ollie can utilize any strategy he wants, but there is nothing other than a ton of off season work that will make some of these kids into any sort of an offensive threat.

He's tall. There are still a lot of people that think that is the most important thing in the game of basketball, despite what recent history has shown us.
