Gil was dealing yesterday. I don't want to read too much into it as it was only one start and the Sox are not a particularly good team right now, but I loved the way that Gil was attacking the zone. That's how you get deep into games and don't put as much pressure on the bullpen. Yanks really have a chance to have a stellar group of starters this season.

Agree on this. Honestly going into game 1 I was thinking how he’s been struggling and the Sox may jump all over him but nope he was really good. When he has command still and with his movement he still has something. Like to see him get his velocity back up consistently but a real nice outing.

Remember Jackie Bradley, Jr? He's an Indianapolis Clown now.

Stanton taken out while legging out…second to third on a rip off the wall by Escarra. At least he almost made it through April healthy but trip to the IR with lower body injury incoming…

I like the ABS system so far. I appreciate that they make the decisions quickly and don't hold up the game. One issue though is that TV no longer shows the strike box on calls that are not officially challenged. I wonder if that's part of the deal to allow ABS is that they only show it on officially challenged calls.
