This seems like a Jets move.
Fair to assume this is a troll. The Jets make enough mistakes without people having to make crap up.
Oh please…there were about 20 quarterbacks the Jets have passed on the past 20-30 years that would have made a difference.Let's not forget, the Jets passed over Pat Mahomes because they thought they had their franchise QB in Christian Hackenberg. I wish that was a joke, but it's the truth. Hackenberg never threw an NFL pass. They took Jamal Adams over him (and also passed on Christian McCaffrey two picks before Adams).
The Pats drafted Wilson last year, who was regarded as the top Center in the draft. He fell further than he should have. He was always going to be the starting center this year, glad we got a 5th for Bradbury. With a 2nd year center and LT, AVT slots in nicely at LG, where he hasn't missed any time. Campbell was good before his knee injury and honestly shouldn't have come back.I didn't mind them not resigning AVT. Guy simply can't stay on the field and it's very, very rare that someone who played 7, 5, 15 and 0 games the last 4 seasons all of a sudden becomes dependable the next 3 years. To be honest, I'm puzzled by the Pats moves so far there. They trade their starting center Bradbury, they don't pony up enough for Linderbaum and sign an oft-injured AVT, especially after Campbell was awful in the postseason and the entire line didn't protect Maye.
disagree…they signed impact players at all 3 levels and they did so without giving out huge contracts. They still need to work on the offense (OG, WR)…and kicker, but I think they did a good job of helping the defense. Even the Athletic today called out the Jets for doing a good job to improve the defense.Jets with a nice move picking up Davis, but they certainly haven't done much for a team with a lot of needs. Tanking for a QB again it seems.
