My favorite comedy movie ever and this is what Hollywood comes up with 35+ years later. Yikes

I think you meant to link this.

I laughed a few times. It doesn't seem all that horrendous to me. I enjoyed the TV series more than the films.

Haha, you get the added bonus of Stewart Copeland!

I liked the show a lot but the movie was the funniest thing I've ever seen. Apparently the Zucker brothers got shut out on this. This looks about as good as the Coming to America reboot.

Jerry Zucker is involved in post-production and I think as a writer.

I appreciate both sophisticated humor and fart jokes. I could probably watch an hour of Liam Neeson having issues with IBS.

Has Neeson ever done comedy? Pretty welcome break from the same character he's been playing for the last 15 years or so, starting with Taken. Or maybe he was the same character before that, but certainly everything he's done since is the same.

Liam Neeson sounds kinda of like Leslie Neilson and Neilson wasn't known for comedy before Airplane. I knew him mostly from being the heavy in a Quinn Martin production.

Where did you hear Jerry Zucker is involved?

Meh, I smiled a few times during the trailer, but this trailer shows you how great the original ones were. The humor level is similar, but Leslie Nielsen is just hysterical. Liam Neeson… Shrug.

I wish Seth MacFarland comedy was funnier. He ruined the Freak Brothers. That could have been a winner. Instead they had an entire episode based on stale Jeffery Tamboor jokes.

The first Naked Gun movie was great and (as things usually progress) they continued to get worse with each subsequent film.

The original TV series (Police Squad) was awesome (one regret is that I only saw a couple episodes in it's initial run). I was expecting something similar with the movie (about eight years later) but the comedy in the movie was a bit more over the top than the series. It felt like a disappointment when Ifirst saw it in the theater, but rewatching it numerous times at home, it gained quite a bit.

I imagine I can wait on this one until after the theater run.

Yes. Kinda. But he tends to play Liam Neeson while doing it.

Trix are for kids

FWIW, i’ve been reading good reviews about this. They say it’s very funny.
