For those who may not be aware, in the 3rd qtr of last night’s blowout of Bethune Cookman, USF senior and potential AA Kitija Laksa went down with a non-contact knee injury and had to be carried off the court. No determination yet on the extent of the injury, but it doesn’t sound good.

Yacine Diop also had a knee injury for Louisville. Any update in that?

Aysia Bugg for Pitt is also out for the season, her second in a row. She was their best player.

I'm glad we have this thread so I can go to one place to see all the injuries, but man I HATE seeing the thread populated with info... Best wishes for a speedy recovery for ALL these young student athletes...

Wow...Texas and Louisville lose key contributors early on. Sad to see.

Side note about Texas...last year it looked like they'd be overloaded with talent, but since this time last year they've lost:

Boothe-transfer, #3 recruit in 2017
Patterson-transfer, #4 recruit in 2017
Holmes-injury, #2 recruit in 2016
Higgs-possible ACL, #7 recruit in 2015
Prince-broken leg, #8 recruit in 2018

That is a whopping 5 former top 10 recruits they've lost to transfer or injury. I know we all rip on Aston, but that is an insane amount of talent to lose in a short period.

ACL confirmed. Condolences to our Longhorn friends.

it'[s a damn good thing that Texas has such a deep bench.....................they'd barely be able to field a representative team at some schools with all of those injuries to important players..........

Unfortunate, but exactly what I expected after she re-injured the shoulder against Iowa.

She looked to be in terrible pain when she reinjured her shoulder vs UConn. Hopefully, she comes back 100%

sorry to hear that................I guess the good news is that it's early enough in the season to get a full red shirt...................will she be recovered in time for the start of next season?

When Turner had her shoulder surgery done, they said that you couldn't touch a basketball for 6 months after surgery. Still, Turner had hers done after her sophomore season and was ready to go by opening day of her junior year.

Unless the injury is way more severe than Turner's, I assume she'll easily be recovered in time for next season.
