The Highlight of the evening at the game. . .

. . . was the few precious moments I and my wife were able to spend with OSB (that's for Old South Branch, not a typo of SOB). I am one of many Boneyarders who have missed his wit and wisdom on this board and his cheerful presence at games. To renew this special friendship meant more to me than mere speculation about what Geno said at halftime or who should/should not be our five starters when we play whoever next week. So that was my best moment of a long and somewhat desultory evening.

I got to reflect this morning about the many enriching friendships that have resulted in our collectiive interaction in print and our invaluable personal contacts over the years in Storrs, Hartford, and distant places like the Virgin Islands, Myrtle Beach, the RAC, Madison Square Garden, Philly, Washington, Woostah, Avon, and many, many more.

We have been blessed to be Boneyarders. And the best may be yet to come.
