Tell me why then do Stef and Breanna wind up in the same place so often and Breanna has to get out of Stef's way? That's not the way it's supposed to be run. They're not supposed to be that close together. Also, Geno has admitted to making mistakes. He's not perfect.

First, I'm pretty sure that the offense was not designed to put two players within 3 feet of each other in the post. The nagging problem for post players is complimenting each other as opposed to being in each other's way. Couple that with the fact you have a talented frosh who has never had to worry about complimenting an equal post and a talented junior who for much of last season was free to roam due to a guard oriented 4 out spread offense. You will probably not see smooth play at best until the end of the season. Additionally, you have the guards adapting to a clogged lane and lack of slashing opportunities. It is hard to turn on and off but they are working on it.

Because Breanna does not always understand and know where she should be in the flow of the motion offense and is still learning. You'll note who Geno pulls most often Geno pulls if that happens. It is not Stef.

I do agree that our post scoring has not been what it should be. We certainly didn't get a lot out of our high-low game against ND. I would agree with the sentiment that it's a learning curve issue. The high-low offense has certainly been proven over the years. I would also leave open the possibility that it might never work well for this group. It's simply too early to tell.

When I saw the title it brought back memories of Vietnam protests.

So the anwer is to can the high lo offense, even with a 6'5" player and a 6'4' player because they make mistakes? BRILLIANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I should have thought of that.

Correct me if I am wrong but isn't that Geno's job - to correct the mistakes-especailly mistakes by a freshman - still learning the college game?

I coud be wrong again but I kind of thought it was Geno's job to fix things.

Thank you attaboy and Icebear. That's all I was saying. It's not being run properly. Hopefully by the end of they year they'll get it straightened out. And yes, Breanna is the one Geno pulls.

Sadly, you did not. You said it "had to go". Most of the posts on the board that followed your OP advised of the need to "practice to make perfect", as the saying goes. Perhaps you have had an epiphany and wish to make right, yet the op and title of this thread remain to remind all of us of the rashness of putting pen to page without first thinking about what you are actually saying or wish to say.

Thank you, Icebear. As noted in another, locked, thread, if Geno's not happy where someone is playing, they get a seat on the bench. Stewart's time on the court at G'town was pretty limited in the first half - Geno wasn't happy with something !

Seems to be an abundance of armchair experts around here, lately. Basketball experts, medical experts, psychologists: and they all seem to think that they see or know something obvious that the professionals actually charged with running the program are too ignorant or close-minded, or soft, to recognize.

Sounds like "Fox News Syndrome" has penetrated the Boneyard.

I was thinking more like MSNBC...
