Here is a way that the games can be played, that's safe for all, might even allow Paige to play, and will have huge t.v. ratings. The games would be played in empty arenas (for now). Each team will sit in the stands court side socially distanced with masks on. Each team will have two electronic roulette type wheels. One wheel will contain the numbers of each player on the team and one wheel will have specific shot locations on the court. You spin one wheel to determine the player that will shoot and one wheel to determine the location on the court where the shot will be taken (Left corner 3, top of key 3, layup left block..... you get the idea). In addition each wheel will have random "turnover squares" that if the team lands on they don't get to shoot and the ball goes back to the other team. You could throw in some bonus "Daily Double" shot squares onto the wheel that allows the team to take multiple shots in a row.

Every player gets to play (no playing time issues).
The players can keep their masks on when they shoot.
The basket balls can be rotated out and cleaned with disinfectant after each shot
Chances of injury are minimal
Paige could probably compete.

Just need to figure out the game time issue. Maybe use like a chess clock where you start the clock after you spin the wheels and stop the clock after you shoot.

"Paige Bueckers come on down you're the next shooter on UConn is Right" The spot light could shine on the player as they walk onto the court accompanied by their favorite walkup music like in baseball.

This could be a huge money maker.

I don’t think empty arenas matter unless the players on all teams live, the coaches, refs and everybody involved live in bubbles. Players are getting infected in life - not games.

Is UConn open for classes or will it be opening next week?

UConn has done a spectacular job controlling the virus. The NY Times has a daily list of cases on every college campus and they have consistently been on the bottom of that list.
