In order to fire Rick Pitino for "just cause," Louisville has to give him 10 days written notice and "opportunity to be heard."

He had his opportunity, for 5 minutes this morning. Looks as though the University President has heard enough.

I'm laughing about the Pitino predictions. If he doesn't coach he will be a big time tv analyst in a year or less. He simply claims he doesn't know what happened and truthfully he would never want to know any of this so technically he's clean. If your brother who lives under the same roof as you commits murder do you go to jail?

If he doesn't coach again it will only be because he doesn't want to. The list of disgraced former basketball coaches who have gone on to coach again is already pretty intriguing.

Given how the NCAA takes years to finalize investigations, I doubt they do anything anytime soon

In this case, once FBI concludes and submits findings to courts, there won't be much need for NCAA to actually do any investigating, will just come down to levying penalty and then the appeals (which do take forever).
