The AD phantom technical. The ref looked embarassed that he dropped the ball. He was under control and not at all even close to out of line.

Call me crazy if u want, but its now no longer a question that the NCAA is trying to do everything possible to hurt the program.

He threw the ball to the ref who called the foul on him while the ref was indicating what the foul was so he was not looking for the ball.

He didn't do it on purpose but to a ref getting hit by the ball is a technical foul. Really not that hard to understand.

No. Just not true. Refs do not call Ts every time they are hit by a ball. It's not infrequent for them to be inadvertently hit.

Yes, that's rule 23.1.9786.06.9887.2323.34 in my rule book. Says so right there.

Well the ref obviously felt it was in retaliation and it didn't help that he didn't see AD throw it but when he turned around Shabazz was attempting to hold AD back so I think its pretty obvious what the ref would think in that situation, especially with AD mumbling to himself.

Blame Shabazz.

You are crazy. If you think the NCAA would give instructions to officials to make calls against UConn, you are out of your mind. They have a ton to lose by having something like that come to light, and almost nothing to gain.

Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?

The NCAA has nothing to do with officials for basketball game. The Big East conference selects and hires the officials for conference games.

Stop being reasonable.

If you don't see that the NCAA is funneling cash to refs doing UConn games, you're blind!

Yeah, the way they were getting Providence to drain those open 3s was un-ducking-believable. Great point.

the real difference, this team is heartless
I think the real difference is that Providence was able to shoot nearly 50% on threes and hit 12 or more for the game. It's raining threes against us most games.

.-.
Difference? We think we are good but we are not. Therefore, PU should win at home against a not good team, especially when the not good team repeatedly fails to defend the 3 and takes breaks during the game.

I remember the days when we used to pay the refs well and get all the calls

Awful call in the heat of a game....the ref is a pu**y to make that call.......period! Having said that the game was already losy so no blame on the refs.....up 51-37 with 12 to go vs a team who will not see the NIT when you need a win......not on the refs people.....Nope

So we find a way to blame Shabazz. Let's get the joke out of the way: Dyson's fault! Selvie! Taliek! Rickety Moore!

Um, not even close. In that situation the protocol is to turn to the other officials and ask them what they saw. If they thought it was purposeful then the T is called. In fact, that is what the officials are taught to do. The official with the foul call approaches the reporting area while the other two "close down" and "box in" on the area where the players are congregated and watch for that type of stuff.

If you see the replay, the official hits Drummond with the T and the other two immediately start talking to each other. It was almost too late by that point to cancel it out. No question the official f-ed up there.

They secretly placed magnets in the balls that somehow were only attracted to the rims Providence shot at. Get your facts straight.

That's because most of the time the UCONN defenders hands is at the level of the shooters tits and a foot away from the shooter. This is considered "playing hard on defense" by current UCONN players.

Although there is only one player you can get away defending this way.....AD on a jump shot.

Two shots and the ball as a result of that stupid call...

We lost by 2....

You will have to forgive me if I believe that that had some influence on the outcome of the game.....

It gave them 4 points--and they fouled Drummond. UConn should have had the ball down 3. Instead, after the T, they got the ball down 7.
