Does it count if they die first, but the government covers it up until after someone else's pick dies? If not, I probably shouldn't have picked Assange.

But he certainly is living the “Cheat To Win” philosophy…..I kind of wish I had been prescient enough to have offered one of these wristbands as the prize for Round 2….

Replicant was complaining about my laziness in getting Round 3 going, so here it is.….and here are the rules:
1. Your pick has to be living when picked. Also, nobody whose execution date is circled on the calendar.2. Pick a celebrity. Any celebrity — though I reserve the right to nix picks I never heard of (I don’t generally follow the Dead Pool threads carefully, so if you’re unsure of your pick, call it to my attention).3. We start from scratch every time. No matter who you had last time, or who you may have called between rounds, you have to turn up on this very thread and stake your claim.4. Poaching and other dirty tricks positively encouraged.5. Your first choice sticks. Don’t just blurt something out, m’kay?6. It’s up to you to search the thread and make sure your choice is unique. I’m waayyyy too lazy to catch the dupes. Popular picks go fast.7. The pool stays open until somebody on the list dies. Feel free to jump in any time. Noobs, strangers, drive-bys and one-comment-wonders — all are welcome.8. If you want your fabulous prize, you have to entrust me with a mailing address. If you don’t want the fabulous prize, you’re too smart to be a regular. It takes me forever to put them in the mail, packages go by slow boat. It might take a few weeks.
The fabulous prize?
A widely sought after, “cool-as-all-get-out”, BYC IX baseball cap. Along with a commemorative mention of your name, among the winners (and cheaters) who have gone before.

So confusing.

I'm going with Larry Hagman for the next round. After watching a couple of episodes of the new Dallas on TNT, I'm convinced he's actually dead and they've exhumed him, filled him up with embalming fluid and are letting CGI do the rest.
 
I was just playing this game with my friend the other day. I had Ed Asner, followed closely by Kirk Douglas or Don Zimmer. Little did I know Ernest was still alive and had to play the role of spoiler. RIP Ernest.

I picked the old girl back on page 3! I hate to be excited over someone's death. I just never ever win anything. I mean, like, ever. So if I am officially the winner, sorry Phyllis, but I am thrilled to have temporary "bragging" rights.
