The blogger thinks we are going to lose one game? Crazy. I wonder why the writer didn't name the team that (on paper) will beat us.
Also, I had not heard that Ash is now in Grad School, after 3 years of college.
I believe UConn will lose at least one game before the new year. Maybe to Tennessee. I don't know what team it will be but, I just believe they will lose at least one game. There are teams on their schedule with comparable talent. Maybe not as many but all they need are eight total. The blogger thinks we are going to lose one game? Crazy. While we may indeed lose a game before the new year, I do not believe it will be to any team with “comparable talent”! I say this because I do not believe there are any teams out there with comparable talent.I believe UConn will lose at least one game before the new year. Maybe to Tennessee. UConn needs to enter the season with the mindset that that could happen. It's real, danger lurks out there. I hope they don't read the BY and get swelled heads.I believe UConn will lose at least one game before the new year. Maybe to Tennessee. 100% Ash will be the starter. Not an impressive article on many fronts. I personally would disagree with two of the proposed starters. Most think Serah starts over Jana, and although it is far more debatable, I have Blanca instead of Ashlynn.
Regardless this blogger doesn't even seem to know Blanca is on the team, not even mentioning her for the bench. Apparently he believes Caroline, Ice, Morgan and Kellis are more likely to get playing time.
I would tell them to go get a "Banner" to put up just like their East coast cousins in 2019....Where to start? Azzi will not be the point guard. Ash, while a very good three point shooter, is not “the designated deep threat”, that honor goes to Azzi. I do not think JuJu’s absence from the game last season is what allowed us to win, though to be fair, it obviously played a part. I doubt anyone but die hard USC fans are sitting around demanding an asterisk for that game in the history books...
Remember, the games are not played on paper. 😉While we may indeed lose a game before the new year, I do not believe it will be to any team with “comparable talent”! I say this because I do not believe there are any teams out there with comparable talent.
Certainly not in terms of a roster to roster comparison. I realize you qualified your statement with eight but even so, I do not believe there is any team out there that has any number of players that are as good as what Geno can put on the floor this season.
Sure, injuries could change that, but assuming fully healthy respective rosters, I’m not seeing any team that can match (on paper) what we have on this roster. Obviously this does not mean we are unbeatable but if we do lose, I do not believe it will be because of talent but rather, will, desire, luck, and effort.
Good thing they’re not cause they could just go ahead and give us the trophy!🥱 At least playing live there’s always a chance of losing! JK I’m fully aware of just how difficult it would be to win every game. Still, I think this team has the tools to possibly do it if we can stay healthy and get a few good bounces. I suppose Tennessee is the game that concerns me the most.Remember, the games are not played on paper. 😉
If the team plays like the majority thinks it will, they won't need the few good bounces. Now, staying healthy is something else altogether. They definitely have all the tools. I believe playing at home will give them the edge over Tennessee. But, for some reason I believe they will lose at least one game. I am not usually right but, I am never wrong. 😉Good thing they’re not cause they could just go ahead and give us the trophy!🥱 At least playing live there’s always a chance of losing! Bah, you could very well be right. UConn needs to approach each game as a trap game. I'm sure that Geno will drill this into them. So you are saying you can't have a goal of an undefeated season? Or that you couldn't focus on each game as it comes?A team that is thinking about an undefeated season in Oct, is not focused on the present and to go undefeated a team needs focus. Any golfer will attest that a great front nine that has you dreaming of the course record often leads to tears in the lounge after 18.
I sort of get your gist but offer these tidbits to consider:A team that is thinking about an undefeated season in Oct, is not focused on the present and to go undefeated a team needs focus. Was Stewie “not focused” when she stated she wanted 4 titles? I think you are reading way too much into this. As Cyndi Lauper so famously sang, “Girls just wanna have fun”…Smile, sit back and enjoy the ride…
- Every team sets up goals to achieve for the season like Winning the Conference or making the NCAA Tournament.
- Teams want to improve upon their previous season if they know they have the capability
- Given our coaching staff and their experience and proven motivational messages I don’t think this team will get complacent or overlook an opponent
