I have not posted much on here...but when discussing with my friends and family about this season, I have been saying all along that this backcourt may be one of the best in the nation. If they can stay out of foul trouble up front, and play average up there...this team could win a lot of games. the college game needs great guard play...they have it...I also do think that their front court players like olander and daniels are also pretty decent. I really feel like this core will be mostly here next year...even if one of the guards leave if they are able to gain a good big man, they will be a top 5 team next year...guaranteed.

And I don't see Omar Calhoun having a more invisible night than yesterday. Our backcourt is good enough to get wins over anyone if we shoot like that. Consistency against top competition might be a problem because of our lack of size tho

I absolutely love our backcourt and although I would love more size I think heart can be more important and they have that no doubt. Good news is I don't see anyone leaving next year unless they are unhappy. The size will keep Bazz and Boat here for 4 years each unless someone pulls the trigger unexpectedly. This can be a fun team to fill in the pieces with next year and I believe by years end Phil and Leon will be in the rotation more..........this team has at least 2 years together so this could be a fun ride!!

Backcourt was phenomenal! Was hoping to see more from Omar, but he will be a stud. Unbelievable that SI did not have UConn as one of the top 16 backcourts in the country.

It really helped having 4 players that could handle the ball at times. I know Boatright and Napier did most of it, but having Calhoun and Evans even take a few minutes to do it helped a lot. It's nice having some guard depth this year. Daniels looked much more comfortable handling the ball as well. Giffey looked a bit nervous, but really he just missed two decent shots.

Also nice to have RJ who is a Bull & can post a few guards up,or lay a body on them and wear a few teams down.

Also....it is great to have good big guys in college bball. However it is even more important to have a great guard play. Obviously the great teams usually have a little of both. However when Uconn won the title in 2011 their front line was good, but very inexperienced. They started Okwandu at center many times.(although I would love to have a guy like okwandu now)

I also like how he muscles guys and cuts on the backdoor from our big guys. AO NEVER made the passes Tyler did against MSU on those backdoor cuts.

Another detail in addition to TO passing. The outlet that Wolf made that led to a fast break basket was a thing of beauty. He got it off very quickly and hit our guy in stride (Boat? I forget). We haven't seen a pass like that from a big in a really long time.
