This week's rankings from The Athletic.

"No. 77 Buffalo has wins against Northern Illinois and Toledo, but the Bulls’47-3 loss to UConn two weeks ago helps move the idle Huskies up to No. 76. San Jose State slips to No. 81 after losing to Colorado State."

UConn up 6 to 78 in the CBS Sports rankings, the 58th percentile. Moved past UNC (79), Baylor (81), NC State (83), Stanford (84). Duke (41) and Wake (88) round out the NC ACC.

UConn has gotten so good it moves up even when it doesn't play.

Hard to tell how good the team is since they have only beat one team with winning record/ Buffalo 4-3. Rice, UAB and UMass are really bad teams, and Georgia State is not very good either. UConn should go 8-4 with only one game that will be a tough game against Syracuse((only team that will have a record over 500 when UConn faces them).

UAB played USF tough. I wonder what happened there. Dilfer is rumored to be on his way out.

UConn has only beat one team with a winning record Buffalo- 4-3. Down the stretch except one team above 500x

This week's rankings per The Athletic. Two opponents in the biggest movers up group, two in the down group. UConn down 7 places to 83. Ten teams still undefeated (yes, yes, it's all about the scheduling).

4 remaining opponents rated over 100, and the two we have to play on the road, at 128 and 131, are fighting to be the worst FBS team in the country. Yes, I know how bad we've been for how long, and I know you never take an opponent for granted, but there is no reason we shouldn't win all 4 of these games.

I agree. I also believe Duke is way overrated. There backend schedule much more difficult.

Let me modify that statement: “There is no reason we shouldn’t win all 3 of these remaining games, even if we do so in a totally unimpressive manner.”
