In no particular order:
KFC Yum Center (Louisville)
Ferrell Center (Baylor)
Colonial Life Arena (South Carolina)
Gill Coliseum (Oregon State)
Humphrey Coliseum (Mississippi State)
Purcell Pavilion (Notre Dame)
Hilton Coliseum (Iowa State)
Gampel Pavilion (UConn)
Matthew Knight Arena (Oregon)

The Pit and Vanguard University in Costa Mesa, CA. Only 4 rows on the sidelines and depending which end of the court. 8 rows or 3 rows.

Weird 'survey' when you ask fans who will invariably pick their home court. Question identical to 'which are the nine strongest programs with most active fan bases. And of course, the results validate that.
This is what passes for a scientific sociological study nowadays in the age of social media.

The fans have spoken! :cool::rolleyes:
Sorry, @triaddukefan , High Point didn't make the cut

I'm in a cantankerous old man mood tonight... so I won't comment on that right now

Just wait until High Point moves into their $120 million dollar complex in 2020-21....

Average attendance last year at home....... (roughly the same top 9, sans a few)

Well to me, the best places to watch games would be either old historic barns.... or modern palaces. So of the list.... Yum and Gill would be the two that fit the bill of the 9 listed.

I haven't been in it, but I don't think Uncle Phil spared any expenses on Matt Knight Arena, so that would probably fit the bill as well.

Perhaps.. I wouldnt step foot in the place

Being a Husky fan I still have to say it. If you can't get charged watching your team play SCar at Colonial Life you ain't a WCBB fan.

I’m a season ticket holder and it is pretty nice.

That is a pretty rocking environment. In the beginning at least. But it's still nice to see so many thousands turn out for women's basketball.

Gampel??? - Maybe in the lower bowl. Try squeezing into the ass numbing seats in the upper bowl.

IMHO the Mohegan Sun Arena is a great place to watch a WBB game!
It's what Gampel Arena should have been! All REAL seats no bleachers!

I was going to mention the Sun Arena as a great place to watch WCBB. Then I noticed the list was all home arenas. In any case the Sun beats the hell out of Gampel in about a dozen different ways.

Let me just add my 2 cents worth to the Mohegan Sun Arena. I have to agree what you and @RSHERMVIKES mentioned. For the few times I've been there to watch a game or two, I found myself going up to the "upper bowl" to watch the games. Those seats seem to be right on the action, great view from up there.

I'm always impressed with how well Cyclone fans support their Iowa State team.

I don't think they've ever been to a final four. Elite Eight maybe once or twice, but
they always draw in the top five year in and year out.

Maybe there's just nothing else to do in Ames.

There is that. We were riding the elevator at the hotel there and - not kidding - wondering what the large building next door was. It was the "Bull Semen Institute". That's Iowa for you.

As to the folks talking about Gampel, as a Rutgers fan I was there many times - very nice arena actually, in comparison to most. I have only been to 3 on the list (shocking, I've been to over 100 arenas), I really didn't care much for Notre Dame and it was so long ago we were in Ames I don't feel competent to comment.

I can't think of all the places we have gone, but I will say that, as somewhat older facilities go, Carver-Hawkeye Arena at Iowa was a nice place to watch a game.

Sorta like - ahem - Connecticut...?? (sports-wise, anyway)

Most of CT is a metro-north ride away from NYC, which is a big, big difference from Ames! As someone who lived in CT for four years, I can easily attest to the difference that makes in accessing the wider world.
Yeah you got me there. I lived in CT for 20 years and got to know NYC so well it almost seemed like I lived there. Also proximity to Boston, Italian food on Franklin Avenue, etc, etc. Better stop now before I want to move back...

The original plan for Gampel was to have all chairback seats, They ran out of money.
There's that "M" word, again.
