The 2025 journey begins…

Pretty much everything about our recent QBs has NOT gone to plan. Whatever we thought in the spring is not what happened in the fall. And after that, it has changed game to game in season. You have to be Noster dumb arse to predict this one.

We have a pretty good sample size and JF is much much better than NE
Agreed based on the data at hand. But NE might have played almost the entire season hurt. So, for this upcoming season the jury may still be out.

Puhlease can someone say Cole Welliver is potentially the starter, overcoming the experience and proven success of Joe Fagnano, and the ....ummm potential of Nick Evers? There, I said it, Welliver may start! I am a big Fagnano fan, have been since he got here. Still want to see him relegated to grizzled old veteran helping the streaking comet RS Freshman gunslinger from Texas negotiate his first season.

Good imagination, fever dream or just plain old delusional?

why create problems?

We haven't seen the best of Evers. We have seen the pretty good on Fagnano and stats wise, it was beautiful. No one knows what the floor or ceiling is on Welliver. Competition is important and may the best QB win. Also, as we all know, it really doesn't matter who comes out of camp QB1, as the next man up is a play away.
Evers is not a good passer. And not really an effective rusher - too slow, no misability. Fagnano, then Welliver (the future). Evers is a step backwards for the offense.

Awesome to be on the upswing, and I think if there were a metric that included transfers we would be much higher.

With that said, for some context, this average would put us at 4th in the AAC, 2nd in CUSA, and bottom of any P4. Not to be the bearer of bad news, I just wanted to get an understanding of true rank vs. average.

Love writing off kids at an early age.

Kids? This "kid" is 21? Been at 3 schools already. We watched him last season. He was not as effective as Fagnano. He struggled to get the Huskies into the endzone. Kids? This ain't Pop.Warner football.

We’ll see. He’s been pretty clear that the portal would be our focus so his high school recruiting rankings don’t matter much anymore. We got proven talent in the portal.
