I've got nothing. It's been observed elsewhere, but you can drink and grill in your own backyard. And watch major college football on hdtv.

.-.
My poor little cousin just started her 2nd year at UConn. This is all she's ever known with regards to UConn FB. How can any of those kids get drunk enough to have a good time when the team is this bad?

I will say that the crowd seemed mostly indifferent about the events on the field. People tailgated, all came in at the same time, and then hung out until near the end of the 4th quarter, which is basically how every game goes. The booing was halfhearted and mostly the crowd just got sleepy in the second half as the buzz wore off. And I am not just speaking for myself.

Because:

There was a time when we went into South Bend knocked Gold Helmets off shoulders and seized a win in OT .
There was a time when we knocked the crap out the South Carolina.
There was a time when we went head to head with the Sooners in a BCS bowl.
There were the many great wins over Pitt, UL and USF

...and this will get this fixed one way or another.

that was before they started to zone block, smash mouth football is New England style, not this horse manure.

Cause it's fun to watch the crowd play keep the beach ball away from the guys in the yellow shirts!
Honestly one of the few things that brought me joy tonight.

Jeez - condolences to you. It must of been like ending up with a Gila monster on your first date.

I forgot about that. This did bring on the largest cheers. How Sad is that?

The new video board is pretty?

About that maybe my eyes are getting worse, but was I the only one who was having trouble reading the score on the bottom. I felt it was too bright at times

Why go back? Because since the Rent is now a quiet and peaceful place, especially by the 2nd half when hopelessness and apathy has long set in, it makes for a good, quiet place to read or get work done on your portable device. Occasionally you may hear the faint ambient noise of booing by those that are left lurking the stadium, but it won't disrupt the serenity of the atmosphere.

.-.
I don't know about you, but I'm going back for the NoRA cupcakes. After I get a few, I'm going back out to my car to enjoy.

And why should I go back?
You should return because the absense of fans in the stadium / fan support - just makes climbing out of the whole that much harder. And because there are a lot of great players on the team that need our support even when their coaching and some of the surrounding talent (or lack there of) has let them down.

And same for me, last night was my first game ever at the Rent.

If not for the football, at least go for the $11 beers.

And, since it's the only arena in the country, where you can only buy one beer at a time, you get some exercise going up and down the stairs.
