.986 winning percentage on SNY.Obviously their bigger opponents are on national TV, but I think they said the SNY record was 217-3. That's ridiculous no matter who you're playing.
I think she's doing some games on Fox Sports now, and Fox shows a lot of Big East games, so hopefully she'll still call our games down the road.Meghan Cuomo is terrific. She is for the Huskies but not afraid to gently criticize. Deserves a bigger opportunity.
The deal the BE struck calls for games to be broadcast on Fox, NBC and TNT.Gonna miss them. Who will carry games next year
?
What will be missed is the knowledge and familiarity of UConn that SNY brought especially with two former players, one doing the game color and the other pre-game, halftime and post game analysis. The games will be covered mostly by announcers who aren't that familiar with UConn or their players. It will be like watching any other basketball game with the exception if we are playing against a noted rivalry or a top 10 team there might be some extra commentary but nothing like SNY devoted. It will be much different but the upside is the Big East Conference benefits by getting more $. It would be worthwhile if at some point the $ that the BE will be getting could be broken out and how exactly the schools benefit. Good luck with that. The deal the BE struck calls for games to be broadcast on Fox, NBC and TNT.
I appreciate that Kara highlighted all the extra content SNY provided that the fans will no longer have. This is going to be a good deal for the conference, but at our expense. What will be missed is the knowledge and familiarity of UConn that SNY brought especially with two former players, one doing the game color and the other pre-game, halftime and post game analysis. The previous contract allowed us Tier 3 rights. I’m sure SNY was good to us as their ratings often eclipsed various pro games on other channels in the NY area. No idea whether this is better for us.What will be missed is the knowledge and familiarity of UConn that SNY brought especially with two former players, one doing the game color and the other pre-game, halftime and post game analysis. And Gary Apple. He and Kara definitely have a close friendship.Thank you SNY! Hard to see Kara and Meg choking up. Job VERY well done.
If I remember correctly I saw her doing color commentator on a Big East game on the weekend that UConn beat SC on one of the fox stations.Meghan Cuomo is terrific. She is for the Huskies but not afraid to gently criticize. Deserves a bigger opportunity.
I've tried that, but isn't the radio always a fraction ahead?we can always mute the tv and listen to radio
