He gave it his all today.
Again this kid cares very much to be a Husky.

He was very emotional after the game today.

Good Luck RJ and THANK YOU !!!!!!!

What an awesome thread. This kid has taken a lot of unnecessary crap (putting it mildly) from this board throughout the season. It is so nice to read such positive posts full of appreciation! I'll take the loyal, classy, positive, young men who love to be a Husky. He wanted to be here in the darkest hour of our rich history. He was a big, behind the scenes guy, who provided great leadership on and off the court. Everytime you saw him on the bench, he was clapping and cheering his teammates on. He epitomized this team with his effort and never give up mentality.

Thank you, RJ, and best of luck in the future.

He came to UConn for the chance to play for Jim Calhoun and to make a run in the Big East and NCAA Tournaments.

He didn't get to play for Jim Calhoun.
He didn't get to play in the Big East Tournament.
He didn't get to play in the NCAA Tournament.

He came anyway. He provided leadership to a team with nothing to really play for, to help players he will never suit up with again.

If you have anything other than a tremendous amount of respect and admiration for the kid, you need to take a long walk off a short pier.

He was absolutely great today. 42 big minutes, played tough D on Cotton, 6 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal, 1 block and ZERO turnovers. Can't thank you enough for becoming a Husky, RJ!

Ended it as a big part of a huge win......the plays which don't find their way in the box score, rebounds, solid D getting through picks, loose balls etc etc......that's him and it was all there today and the pride in every play was pouring out of RJ.......so happy for this kid!!! As true a Husky as we've had because he wanted to be one while others never quite got it and left.......thanks RJ!!
