With the way people are nowadays, it's a miracle CV and Gilbert made it through to tonight, and they should really be commended. Young people (and many people in general), are so quick to leave a bad situation, or to blame others when things go wrong. These guys had every opportunity to leave UCONN and transfer out. They didn't. They stuck it out and persevered through so much adversity, and both will ultimately be better people for it. I've been proud of teams before, but not so much for individuals. I'm proud of these two and really happy for them. Thank you Christian and Alterique! Shining examples of kids who did not run from adversity.
