Amen, and those kids from Appalachian State will value it so much more because just getting there is their dream.

Who cares? What have they or their institution done to deserve it?

Appalachian State went 25-6 against a schedule that featured only two power conference opponents (Georgia and Virginia- who summarily dismantled them). In their last game they lost to Samford. Texas has wins over Cal, Texas A&M (twice) and Oklahoma. There's really no comparison.

Spent money a lot more efficiently and effectively to be on the same bubble as Texas. Give it to the team exceeding expectations not the one living them down. Doesn't have to be Appalachian State they are just the symbol.

Hey.... take it easy on App State..... they are good people up in the mountains. Plus they will forever have a place in my heart for the football team's 2007 victory in Ann Arbor.

Unfortunately, said victory doesn't count in their WBB team's RPI.
