"After the game, we went into the locker room to meet the coaches. Coach [Jim] Calhoun was in there as well. He spoke about the program and how we could help UConn. They spoke about family and how they all stick together and if we needed to speak to Kemba Walker or Ray Allen, they were only a phone call away."

How big is abdul? He saw the weakness as he said and hopefully thinks he can help this with his abilities?

They both seem like good kids reading their blogs......thanks for posting them

After watching all of one video, it is clear that we want Abdul, like, a whole lot. He is a power forward with some power. Goes up strong and looks to dunk no matter who might be in the way, has some shooting ability too! He has some of the Jeff Adrien thing that we lack. It listed him at 6'8"....no weight was listed, but I would guess 220-225.

I've seen Abu listed at 6'10'' before, but he's probably 6'8''.

I think Abu will grow. What caught my eye is that YouTube vid of him killing in a tourney while fasting during Ramadan . I just have a feeling he has great drive. He is more athletic at this point than Jeff was.

sign him up

while this years team lacks a quality big guy and its obvious there is something else it lacks that we always have and thats a high flyer that changes the dynamic of the floor as the other team is always aware of that player. we dont have that this year. rudy, stix are the first 2 that come to mind but when u think about it guys like dyson and gordon for example were in college high flyers compared to other kids on average at there positions. you can argue dd this year gets up, but he doesn't attack the rim pissed off at all and he not even 1800lbs which is small for what he should be position wise.

Both would be awesome, UConn has a bunch of very good 2014 kids looking at them and some very good 2015 kids.

Dont forget the brand new basketball only facility they can show these kids. It will be done during the time they would be at Uconn. I have toured the football one and if it is anything like that....wow. These kids will have freaking palace to spend their time in. Studying, hanging out, training, etc.
