Both teams doing their share of choking. Who wants to win?

Tennessee wins or lucks out. They are gonna get murdered by UCONN soon.

They should be playing better with the talent they have IMO.

I hope the AP voters saw their last game and missed this one.

UConn needs ranked opponents, no matter how they look.

.-.
Tenn ends the game by missing 4 FTs and a layup and still wins.

Nikki can not coach offense and her teams don't play smart.

We knew this 5 years ago. She can't recruit. If it weren't for her having a really good basketball player in the family, we are royally screwed right now. All she knows is defense and rebounding, and thats it.

We are likely gonna end the year with a losing record with no NCAAT appearance.

They dont watch the games. They just look at the record.

Tenn provides 2 new challenges — big physical posts for Ono and a tall guard with long arms for Paige. Haven’t seen either of those this year and dealing with them will be the difference.

32-33 LV at the half. This would be a colossal loss for us if Tennessee were to lose on 3 fronts:
1. We wanted to have top 25 matchup in 2 weeks
2. Tennessee looked good against Arkansas especially after 2 weeks of COVID, and was making noise for top 4 SEC consideration
3. LSU Administration might be duped into extending Nikki

I hear that the LSU AD is in discussions with Nikki about her GREAT effort against the powerful Lady Vols. They haven't decided if it's going to be a 3 or 5 year extension but an announcement should be coming soon.:eek:

Again, the residual brilliance of Holly Warlick in bringing fanbase expectations down to zero deserves greater acknowledgement :)
I think if Holly was the coach. Then Tennessee would have lost today.

A comforting thought, I'm sure, but this is easily the worst LSU team in decades, and Holly did have a winning record against LSU.

I didn't expect a easy win today.
Why not? As good as they looked against Arkansas? I thought they would blow LSU out. Someone on VolNation said Tennessee is good enough to beat most teams, including UConn, except the very elite teams.

Arkansas plays a different style than LSU. That was also part of it.

Tenn has beaten Indiana and Ark, both pretty good teams.
True and they have talent to do that and more, the issue comes down to consistency, which the LV lack. Evidence- 10 assists and 19 turnovers today against a lower half team does not inspire one to think this team is going to do anything special. Turnovers are function of discipline and that has been the LV Achilles heel for years....

TN had an issue for some years now of playing down to their opponents and today was no exception.

True but under Holly she had more talent and did much less. Kellie has a winning record too, right? I mean who doesn't against LSU

Ole Miss says hello. They haven't beaten Louisiana State since 2015.

Hmmm. Key is not a physical post. Kiskituah isn't either though she does take up a lot of space.
Horston was beat all day off the dribble today and her length was not a problem for Crystal last year. I guess we'll see.

🤣🤪😉 First time TN won at LSU in many many years, maybe your AD will finally pull the trigger this post season.
She needs to go, she has been here over 10 years with no true accomplishments with a team of her own players. Her best teams were with the players left by Van Chancellor.

Time to move on. Thought originally it would have been a good hire at the time but it hasn't worked out. She has run out of excuses and opportunities IMO. COVID excuse isn't gonna cut it.

Yeah I dont know that it will be a problem, just things that the team will not have seen so far. I'm more concerned about Liv -- Tenn will be the biggest team, by far, we've faced. She'll need to avoid foul trouble.

Also has any team made Paige the focus of their defense? Now that she has established herself as the best player, I think more teams will target her.
